PG13 was never much in play after going to OKC. He is so much of a beta male he let Westbrook son him up where he didnt want to disappoint his BFF by abandoning him.

1. Lakers get tampering fines and are being watched/investigated while the rest of the league tampers away.

2. Pels do not negotiate in good faith, but expect the welfare benefits from the Lakers revenue sharing.

3. Coaches and executives going around and telling other executives in the league not to trade with the Lakers.

3 strikes...time for Jeanie to flex at the next owners/cba meetings.

Nothing she can realistically do.

Probably not, it’s just a complete joke. I guess we just rely on some karma.

Better having a beta player than having a beta management who subjugates themselves to a sports agency.

If you're PG, and you let your agent, who works for you, dictate whether you go to the team that you said you've dreamed about playing for, that says a lot about how easily influenced you are.

I mean, didn't even have the courtesy to meet with Magic/Jeannie but had all that time to do that asinine 3 part ESPN documentary.

And I really wanted PG13.

So we shouldn't want AD because Rich Paul is dictating him to sign/trade with the Lakers?

Are you sure it's not AD who wants to leave the Pels (one of the worst TV ratings/market/exposure) to join the Lakers?

HE left his previous agency to join Klutch. B/c he knew he'd probably want out of the Pels and needed an aggressive agent to help.

So why does he need an agressive agent to help on that part? He's a top 5 player so why does he need such help to get out? I guess it shows how easily he's influenced as well.

What AD and PG have shown is that agents are important. You have to take them into consideration regardless of how you feel about the player. Even Emplay noted this when he says we signed KCP "as a favor to klutch sports" in relations to signing Lebron.

Why the FO didn't realize this with PG is a bit baffling.

But PG13 was a FREE AGENT.

AD is not. He was looking for someone that would aggressively try to get him out.

If you can't see the difference, we're done here.

Regarding the Clippers, scouting isn’t tampering. Hopefully we have some scouts going to games.

magic and rob both. if ben simmons is so desperate to work with magic. they should tell Ben to go get the approval from his GM 1st and then the leagues approval.

why the heck is rob calling brand and asking for his authorization?

ok, yeah Magic has no business helping a player on a competitor improve as long as he holds the VP of Basketball Ops title. We would not be pleased if Kuz spent time with Elton Brand.

Like Lin, who was born in America?

Oh wait, are you saying they're bringing in international Americans?

I remember watching Lin play in high school in California. Not quite international.

Interestingly, the 76ers and Lakers are basically trying the same things.

76ers YUTES: Embiid/Simmons
Lakers YUTES: BI/Lonzo/Kuz

76ers All Star/All Star caliber players: Jimmy/Tobias
Lakers All Star/All Star caliber players: LBJ/2nd max slot.

Obviously, huge difference is that our YUTES are not all-star players at this point, and pretty far from it.

So, the strategy on its face isn't unrealistic. It's just that our YUTES have not risen to Embiid/Simmons tier yet.

Kuz and BI both outplayed Simmons... I think BI's outscored Simmons every head to head game the last two seasons.

(And no, I'm not saying BI is better yet... I'm saying the gap isn't as insurmountable as the media would have you believe)

But Embiid... damn. Don't have an answer for that guy.

I'm not talking simply about head-to-head matchups though, as that is too small a sample size. But even if you equate BI/Ben/Kuz on the same tier, as you said Embiid is way ahead.

But there's some hope that BI/Lonzo/Kuz can compete with Ben (though I personally have Ben higher), we simply will lack Embiid's level of play. Even if we got AD, it would take the YUTES to get a player of Embiid's caliber.
