Absolutely agree. Kuz kept us in the game. Can't bench him after he scores 10 points in a row. Keep him in till he starts missing.

That was so frustrating. It was a 5 point game with 4-5 min left in the 3rd and then Puke decides to bench our 2 best players, and Kuzma while he's scorching hot. We ended that quarter down 15 pretty much giving it away because Pukester has no idea how to have proper NBA rotations

I absolutely love the fact that the whole PUKE meme from when he was a player is coming back!

Kyle Kuzma finished the first quarter with 23 points, the most by a Lakers player in a first quarter since Kobe Bryant in March 2008 against the Grizzlies (also had 23). Kuzma has three 20-point quarters this season; LeBron James has one.

He's not done. He's got more tricks up his sleeve for this year, and he's not as strong, consistent, or good as he's going to get one day.

This guy is off the market and untouchable, something even some of the former players who are commentators are starting to repeat. He's going to be called a star by next season.

Yeah, somehow I can't see anyone on the playground rocking Kyle Kuzma shoes.

Why not?

I'd cop a pair.

His story is better and more legitimate than that BBB bs.

Yeah, I just don't see it.

I just know when I go play bb, I know what kind of shoes I see and what shoes I don't.

I see Kobes, LeBrons, Adizeros, KDs, Jordans.

I can't see people rocking Kyle Kuzma's shoes. I might be wrong, but I don't see it.

That's good that you would buy a pair though. But you're a Laker fan. That's just supporting your own players.

Does Paul George have a shoe? I don't even know what it looks like. Kawhi?
Ben Simmons?

he always feels like he is trying to put the cart before the horse...he should be solely focused on developing into an All Star level player right now.....same thing with Lonzo. All those things they want....the stuff that KD and Lebron are doing with their brands is not going to happen until they get it done on the court.

It's the LeBron effect (and a reflection on the generation as a whole). It's all about your "brand" before you've even accomplished something. It's the hubris that just because you get your name mentioned in the headlines that automatically means you can be an entrepreneur, a branding icon and whatever else even before you've proved something on the court for any length of time. Problem is, LeBron can do in his sleep what people like Kobe had to work HARD for and very few NBA players work that hard anymore. So it is indeed putting the cart before the horse.

Um, Lonzo? These guys are running a business with a finite shelf life. I can't fault them for trying to maximize this short window for making income.

And how do you know these kids don't put in the work?

Kuzma already has fans in opposing arenas doing the Kuz chant, he has scores of people buying Kuzmania shirts, and yes.....Paul George not only has his own line of shoes, it was one of the most popular sneaker lines available even before this MVP like season for him.

Kuz is all over social media, loves the Hollywood spotlight, is always doing interviews...so yeah he is highly marketable.

those are just Laker fans....the same ones that did the Zuuuu chant when Zubac did something...and chanted MVP when Kobe shot free throws. Nobody is doing the Kuz chant in visitor arenas if Kuzma played for Utah.

Lakers fans in opposing arenas, are still paying NBA fans...and I’ve never heard a Zu chant in an opposing arena (maybe I’m wrong?). My point stands, Kuz is marketable. He is everywhere, and very online.

Paul George was never some global icon in Indiana, yet had one of the best selling shoes in the world at the time.

I am not a shoe guy, but I thought I read his shoe was not a big success....am I incorrect about that?

I just looked it up. OPPPG for Kuz is 48 in the last three games.

Not bad.
