If the Lakers want to Send a message to the NBA, they need to give the Rockets a good whooping. |

At this point I'd settle for a 1 point win. |

Houston has lost to some teams when it looked on paper that they should win. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Playoff Rondo/Bron activated. LeBron will be averaging 40/10/10 the rest of the remaining 25 games. Rondo 12/8/7 rest of the way... Ingram 21/5/5 and Kuzma 18/5/3 rest of the way. Lakers finish the season 20-5. 48-34. |

Here's hoping the Lakers get their mojo back. And their full roster. A 10 game winning streak against the top tier in the NBA sounds about right. GO LAKERS!! |

My heart says “Heck Yeah!” But my brain says “Hold your horses Bucko!”.
I’m hoping my heart wins. |

Can we just spot the free throw points to Hardin at the beginning of the game and get it over with? Something like starting the game 30 to 0 and work on overcoming that deficit
But no more foul calls for Mr. Hardin the rest of the way.... |

Josh Hart and Mike Muscala are probable for tomorrow against Houston.
Tyson Chandler is questionable for tomorrow with a stiff neck.
Lonzo Ball has not yet returned to practice. |

Mike Trudell
@LakersReporter
Walton said he liked how the new starting group (Ingram, Bullock, LeBron, Kuzma and McGee) looked offensively to start those last two games, but the defensive effort needs to get much better.
Sounds like we may continue to see that group w/Rondo coming off the bench. We’ll see.
12:46 PM - 20 Feb 2019
Luke Walton said they had guys come in last night and get a run in, just to “sweat out” the break, and that the energy was really good.
Guys were sharper than may have been expected with time off. Today was a more traditional practice getting ready for tomorrow’s game.

Scouting report: Rockets at Lakers
Quote: | The Rockets have won each of this season's three meetings against the Lakers and have won 21 of 27 meetings including their only sweep of a season series against the Lakers, in the 2015-16 season.
The Rockets have averaged 129.3 points against the Lakers this season, but have given up an average of 120.
The Rockets' starting lineup of Eric Gordon, P.J. Tucker, Clint Capela, James Harden and Chris Paul has started together in just six games this season, winning five. The Rockets have not had Harden, Paul and Capela all healthy since Dec. 20, going 17-9 since....
Harden had his NBA record fourth 50-point triple-double Dec. 13 against the Lakers.
Gerald Green has averaged 16.3 points on 50 percent shooting in his past 10 games.
Forward Iman Shumpert (sore right knee) is out.
Lakers update
The Lakers lost four of five games heading into the break, falling two games back in the race for the last Western Conference playoff spot.
The Lakers are third in fast-break points scored, but allow the fourth-most points on the break.
LeBron James, who had 28 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and a season-high 16 assists in the final game before the All-Star break, has averaged 26.5 points on 52.5 percent shooting in two games while Kyle Kuzma averaged 22.3 points on 51 percent shooting against the Rockets...
Statistically speaking
12 – wins for James in his 29 games played against the Rockets, one of just three teams against which he does not have a winning record. James is 14-17 again |

Damn this schedule where games have been spaced out so much. Feels like the Lakers haven’t played in a month. _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview |

Preview: Rockets (33-24) at Lakers (28-29)
Lakers +2.5 o/u:233
Quote: |
The Houston Rockets are expected to have their Opening Night starting lineup back together for the first time in two months when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, the first game back from the All-Star break for both teams.
Clint Capela is expected to return after undergoing thumb surgery and missing 15 games. Chris Paul missed 17 games from Dec. 22 to Jan. 25 before playing eight games leading up to the break.
"We haven't gotten there, but we will," Harden said. "We haven't been healthy yet. When we're a healthy group, we've had glimpses. So, hopefully, after this break, we can catch a rhythm. We just have to stay healthy."
The Lakers lost four of five and eight of 11 heading into the All-Star break. They will resume play in 10th place in the Western Conference standings, three games behind the eighth-place Los Angeles Clippers.
Lakers star LeBron James missed 17 games following Christmas with a groin injury, but returned to play five of six before the All-Star break.
"I feel pretty good where I'm at physically," he told reporters after practice Wednesday. "I'm rounding third base, sliding into home."
Josh Hart and Mike Muscala are probable for Thursday, however.
Hart, who has started 21 games at shooting guard this season, missed three of the past four games with a knee injury.
Harden, Paul and Capela combined for 83 points in a 124-115 win against the Lakers on Oct. 20 at Staples Center.
Harden scored 50 and the trio combined for 80 points in a 126-111 win on Dec. 13 in Houston
Even without Paul and Capela in the lineup on Jan. 19, the Rockets won 138-134 in overtime, putting them in position for their second-ever season series sweep against the Lakers. Houston also went 4-0 against Los Angeles in 2015-16.
