His high profile is why I think he should want this to be over with. What does he have to gain? A tape of his doing what ever he was doing may be decisive. It's a case where lawyers get rich. Next thing to be involved will his team. Wait for it, Spygate, Spagate. |
I already explained it. There's nothing he can do to make any of it simply disappear even if he just pleads out. Therefore, it is in his best interest to utilize the high powered lawyers he has access to in order to try and minimize the damage. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

I assume that his lawyers have seen whatever tape is available to the prosecutors. When I heard that he was pleading not guilty, I thought that maybe his lawyers would argue that he received an actual massage for a legitimate period of time (say, at least 30 minutes), and that the video showed that, and that they would simply argue that whatever happened of a sexual nature was consensual, and that the money was a payment for getting a massage only. (I'm not saying I buy that, to be clear, just suggesting a possible defense.) But he went back to the same day spa the next day, and apparently was only there for 10-15 minutes, right? |

Exactly why you stick with your lawyers as opposed to just admitting guilt. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

I think solicitation is punishable with probation or up to 1 year in jail. Do you really think Kraft will go to jail if convicted? A man of his stature will most likely get probation and that would be minimal. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I'm not questioning his need for a good lawyer though I don't think he'll go to jail if convicted. He's been caught dead bang, why prolong the inevitable? Why turn this into a SpaGate, drag it on and on? Why not just let it play out, let it go quietly into the night? Quote: | Cops list a variety of sex acts performed on 26 men who entered the business -- one of whom cops say is Robert Kraft. Kraft is not identified by name in the police documents.
The police documents describe the surveillance video in graphic detail -- noting a pattern of behavior from the alleged Johns.
The men would enter the spa and pay up front (some used cash, others used credit cards) before being escorted back into a private massage room.
In almost every case, an Asian woman would tend to the client -- sometimes two women -- and perform sex acts using their hands and mouths. |

Just as hypothetical, the stories I saw said the woman put her head in to Mr> Kraft's crotch area. Now it's pretty obvious why she would do that, but it is not impossible that she just rested the side of her head against his leg? I don't know how much the tapes could see and their vantage point, but just the head in the crotch area does not make it unreasonable that oral sex did not occur. |

It won’t be handled on a case by case basis. I think they have 200 men on video?
I can’t see them getting 153 convictions and 47 others getting off.
It’s going to be 200 convictions or nothing. Once it comes to Kraft, if they’ve already convicted all the other John’s, it’s going to be hard for Kraft to get off.
Any excuse Kraft can come up w/ already was used by all the other Johns. Kraft can’t come up w/ anything new. |

Agree 100%. Prostitution should be legal and regulated. Then you can really go after illegal sex traffic and stop wasting resources on men who for whatever reason choose to go to a prostitute, and women who decide this is what they want to do for their profession. It’s safer for the women and the men involved. |

It's best to take the not guilty route and let the high powered lawyers do their thing - especially when his case is tied in to an overall investigation that involves apparent human trafficking. He wasn't arrested on a street corner picking up a random hooker so he's not going to be able to quietly plea out and pretend it didn't happen. |
Therefore, it is in his best interest to utilize the high powered lawyers he has access to in order to try and minimize the damage. |
or maybe he is swinging 13" and wants the tape out there! |

(I'm not saying I buy that, to be clear, just suggesting a possible defense.) But he went back to the same day spa the next day, and apparently was only there for 10-15 minutes, right? | hey hey, she missed a spot. |

The tape allegedly showed women preforming sex acts using their hands and mouths. LINK
It does not appear any of the suspects engaged in vaginal intercourse.
Cops say the surveillance videos capture every single detail of the encounters -- including ejaculation and subsequent cleanup. |
I can't vision a defense for what the eyes see. I'm curious as to what Kraft's lawyers will use to support the not guilty plea. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I have not kept up with this story on a national level, but I have seen that multiple local men that were arrested in this sting have now been cleared of all charges. I saw one man on the local news who had never even patronized the establishment, and is suing the police. I feel for the guy....the news spread through his church, his kids schools, and his community and he had never even heard of the spa. Somehow, the police mistakenly linked a car in a video that was in a ladies name....and got it mixed up with him (or something like that).
I would not be surprised if this whole operation ends up falling apart. Many or these local and county law enforcement departments are just not capable of pulling off these long term complex investigations without screwing things up. |
