have you watched him this season? He has been terrible....jacking up bricks left and right. Dude only plays 15 MPG and gets up 11 shots....makes less than 40% of them.

It's not about that for me..We need a PG people respect on offense. Did you see the room they gave rondo? Even after hitting 4 3s? Everytime Lebron Went on a postup they doubled him and it was Always rondo's man who did it. I cant stress enough how much we need an offensive PG. When Lonzo comes back there is no reason for rondo on this team. Look at Raptors PG depth. Kyle Lowry,FVV and Lin..All 3 of them can hit shots and make plays while being scrappy on defense. We have 2 Pg's who couldn't shoot to save their mothers Life. Im high on Lonzo figuring it out but we dont need Rondo on this team.

Clippers made their open shots. Difference between a playoff team and a non playoff team really. Not to mention all the times the Lakers didn't make the extra rotation, or fight hard enough for rebounds.

Just wait for it, someone will come in with their expert analysis of how scoring isn’t the problem.

Offense isn't the problem. If we had Lonzo, our defense would be suffocating them

Right. Not being able to shoot 3s and freethrows doesn’t matter.

Kawhi probably watching this (bleep) and laughing at just the thought of picking the Lakers over Clippers.

Imagine losing Kawhi to the (bleep) Clippers. It's about to be a reality. Worst time ever to be a Lakers fan.

but true

perhaps if no one is injured but that team would be in 2nd round purgatory forever....

An all-star point guard, and a 20/10/4 power forward along with Ingram, LeBron and Ball with Kuzma as a 6th man would be a second round team forever....?

Um... how?

If we didnt have LeBron, Id think that team would be perfect for KD

This is what really hurts. If we didnt have LeBron, we could have really made a run for Kyrie and KD with our two max slots. Championships.

Or just keeping all our youngsters without LeBron this season, this team would probably be going for the 5th-8th seed and with a Max contract slot still open.

Starters:
Lonzo Ball
D'Angelo Russell
Brandon Ingram
Julius Randle
Ivica Zubac

Bench:
Rajon Rondo
Jordan Clarkson
Reggie Bullock
Kyle Kuzma
Larry Nance Jr / Tyson Chandler

Somehow I think that team is fighting for the 5th-8th seed and would still have a max open slot on the way. Even with no LeBron this season.

Dlo is a free agent? I doubt he wouldn’t be too prideful to come back to LA tho

Magic's pride would be an issue also....I cant imagine him offering Russell.

Nope..

But throwing a huge contract at Russell and then praying he plays up to it would be Magic's biggest slice of humble pie.

The next would be giving Randle a contract he deserves.

Magic going after Russell and Randle in the off-season instead of 'punting' again would help. Put the money to good use and pay the people that would have been getting paid it anyway had they remained here.

But to do that they'd have to pay Russell a limit that Brooklyn isn't matching. I don't think Brooklyn would have a problem with that. Randle is easier obtained. But would their agent want to deal with the Lakers ever again?

Ugh, stop living in the past. Do you sit around and think up kids names for girls who broke up with you 5 years ago?

At least it's better than thinking the present is acceptable.

We had jc, jr , DLO, Nance, Zubac, Lou...all of them, worst stretch in our history and multiple High lottery picks...they sucked bad. Our team now sucks, but pretending like other sucky players we used to have would fix that is just stupidity in its purest form.

But at least we have “the goat”. The goat that misses nearly half of his freethrows.

What’s up with these shooter that come to the Lakers and then can’t hit anything. Reggie 0-7 from three. Randle didn’t even shoot threes here and now he’s shooting 35%. Is it coaching or is there something in the water.

So what? Kobe was booed by Laker fans. If anything I think we’ve gone soft.

We are not the Heat nor the Cavs...
We were not desparate for him to come here... We are NOT starved for a great player to put on our jersey
if anything, he wanted to come here.

I think it’s a combination of a couple things ..Bad shooting is contagious and guys don’t even get clean looks half the time cuz the coach sucks

Of course they are important but we have bigger problems on defense.

Lebron - old cant defend anymore
Kuzma- bad defender, undersized
Rondo - old
Ingram - okay(his length helps him but has slower laterial quickness)
McGee - good help defender but makes boneheaded plays
Chandler - old
KCP - okay
Hart - olay
Bullock - good
Caruso - really bad
Lonzo - 1st team all nba defense
Muscala - really bad
Lance - okay but makes boneheaded fouls sometimes

Our team as constructed has really bad defenders. There's only so much that Lonzo could do

Curry was fine coming back from down 3-1 against OKC, yet when they blow a 3-1 lead against the Cavs, suddenly he was hurt.

Draymond was suspended one game. K Love was out for a game as well.

2015, Warriors losing to a team that is down KYRIE AND LOVE and it takes freakin Matthew Dellavedova getting hospitalized and his body shutting down on him for them to win.

The Draymond suspension is so overplayed lol, yet we rarely hear about all the injuries the Cavs faced back to back years in the finals.

Yeah, but that one game was the non Game 7 closeout game at home.
Thats HUGE!

Also, lets not forget about Ray Allan saving him against the Spurs. LeBrons performance at the end of that game was unlike any megastar Ive ever seen.

16 points in the fourth quarter to erase a 10 pt deficit in the 4th?

This place is beyond irrational sometimes lol. Ban bet if LeBron leaves the Lakers without winning a ring.

Whole team is just poorly constructed. Everybody knew this the moment Magic made those dumb signings.

Some delusional fans thought it wouldn’t matter because they thought Kuzma & Ingram would average 25 each .. realists knew this team was (bleep) from the start

Magic’s focus should’ve been shooters and defenders. 3&D players. Good hard nosed complimentary pieces.. not Rondo Lance and Beasley. Hard nosed and big mouth is 2 completely different things.

Oh and Luke sucks. I tried defending him early on but he has to go.

First round sweep better than not making the playoffs I guess

This has to be the deepest stage of LG delusion. That the Clippers are the ones worth laughing at here.

You think the Clippers have a chance to beat the Warriors??! Are you a clippers fan? Sorry for getting your panties in a bunch

Deflecting how bad we suck despite having LeBron James, by trying to say "Well even if the Clippers are better.. they aren't making it out of the first round so hah!" is the deepest levels of smh as it gets.

When we lost To the knicks a couple weeks back I already packed it in that we are not going to the playoffs. All I’ve been hoping for is that we get healthy and kick some ass building team chemistry going into next season with some positivity.

Since we just lost to the Clippers tonight it’s seems more offensive for you guys to here me say some negative crap about them. There not some super power team lol hate to break it to you. We just really suck and they will get bounced out of the first round I guarantee it lol

So my question to y’all do you guys really see the Clippers going past the first round? Like seriously?

IMHO if they still had Tobias Harris I’d say good chance. But with Lou by himself?? Hell nah lol

No, i see a team with a better foundation that's more attractive as a FA destination. The fact their supposedly less-talented "laughingstock" team won more games than we did is a better indicator for their future than ours. Laugh about whether they lose to the Warriors all you want. The fact they made it will look a lot better than the dumpster fire we have going.

Imagine Kawhi -a former finals mvp- choosing a team with cap space 90miles from where he bought a pad for a franchise that literally stops business during every playoff game and has a roster that can win the east this yr and next ?
