Justed wanted to know opinions? A little overblown? Right on point?

It’s like with any other entertainer. Would you touch a singer during the performance if they weren’t crowd surfing? The kid is lucky he didn’t get thrown out and banned.

No one has a right to touch another person. I think this sets a good precedent, otherwise anyone in courtside seats will keep pushing those boundaries. The players have a right to remind fans that they're people and you can't just go around touching people, even if it simply a friendly pat on the back.

Overblown

NBA courtside seat fans have had interactions with players in between live actions. Likewise players have also done the same to courtside seat NBA fans. This kid just tapped Westbrook on the elbow, nothing malicious

Russ Russ handled it well (the kid’s dad, however ) There doesn’t need to be an NBA rule, no, but that kid needs to learn that he’s not entitled to handle the players or other people in general. Kids need to be taught boundaries.

Kid and his parent should have been thrown out of the game. Interactions that are mutual or optional (i.e., holding out a hand for a high-five) are different than forcing an interaction that another person does not want. Do people routinely touch air hostesses now just because they paid for a flight ticket (or first-class ticket - more akin to court-side seats)?

A little strong don't you think? Everyone knows you do not have to actually touch Harden to be accessed a harsh penalty.
