This one was a freak roll of the ankle. I think calling him a slow healer is fair though.

Exactly, bad luck is not injury prone.

Lonzo may have played his last game as a Laker.

It would only continue to prove the FO's incompetence if that is the case.

Wasn't Ball hobbling in the NCAA tournament? I remember he was dealing with some sort of hamstring issue?

Yes.

Suffering a few injuries in short order doesn’t mean he has some genetic predisposition to injuries. The entire lower body is connected. From the back and hips down to the ankle. If his hips are weak or his back is tight, or something similar in his leg muscles, then it puts his entire lower body at risk. This risk can be greatly reduced by the right training methods. And I don’t trust his dad to coach him in these modern techniques. The Lakers need to have the right training team in place. It should not be that hard to do. SoCal is the world capital of fitness trainers. There should be some good ones eager to help.

CP3 might not have a genetic predisposition to injuries either. But, he seems to get hurt more than others.

True enough. Maybe he doesn’t train optimally either. Or maybe it’s just gonna happen anyway.

BI as well. I wonder which team will be chanting "thank you Magic" next.

People still blaming him for his injuries and recovery time.

Would they rather he return too early and make it worse and then be out longer?

For all some act like the team doesn't need him, they sure get angrily and blameworthily anxious about when he's going to be fully recovered.

He would have played if we were in the playoff hunt, there just being cautious, I’m more scared about Ingram’s diagnosis.

Lonzo is the most valuable out of the 3 young kids, but I'm really worried about his long term prospects. He's always injured and he seems to heal abnormally slowly. Basically will have missed almost a full season now in his two short years.

Let’s wait to see what plans the FO has.. for all we know they might trade Lonzo and his off season training wouldn’t matter to us.

Lakers are so cautious with Lonzo, but never gave the same treatment to DLO.

What's the deal with all these young players getting hurt? 2016, 2017 draft classes seem to have it the worst as of late. Hart also received a PRP and hasn't been the same since. Either it's bad luck or there's a common denominator.

yes, 82 games is too much- every single player in the league it seems has had an injury and the league having that many games is just a money grab.

Hurt in summer league..

Multiple injuries his rookie year that lead to 30 missed games (shoulder injury, bruised knee, knee sprain)

Missed all of off-season training camp due to knee segury..

Will miss 35 games again his second year....ankle (again, has had at least 3 sprains that I can I remember.

I think it might be time we start calling it like it is.... he's injury prone. It doesn't mean he'll remain injury prone his whole career, but so far for the totality of his pro career, he's been just that.

Deal with injuries in high school and college as well.

I suggested this outcome when the 4 to 6 weeks report came out, sure hope that Lonzo is able to put in the work on his shot. No reason for him to not get to respectable at the line with all this time off.

Most of us knew there was a good chance he was out for the year with a grade 3 sprain. They're a bunch of jokers with their announcements.

Next year is make or break for him.

Yeah but who's the one doing that?....

Is it our terrible PR now that Black is gone?
Is it our GM who is bust talking about fables and Moses?
Is it Magic who is making out with Rich Paul in the Clippers secret hallway?
Is it our terrible medical staff who's record is starting to look short as can be?

My guess is PR. Kerlan Jobe and UCLA are world-class. They're not making those dumbass statements when a medical student could make a better prediction.

Yup, I read injuries affected him during the start of his senior year at Chino Hills and other injuries during the last half of the season at UCLA. The guy is almost always banged up, it seems.

He has not had proper training with core exercises. If he's not serious about that, he will continue to have these type of injuries.
