LEBRON ON MINUTES RESTRICTION FOR REMAINDER OF THE SEASON
Is that a white flag I see?....
Per Goon
A Yahoo report indicates that LeBron James will get fewer minutes for the remainder of the season. A look at the signs that the Lakers have been moving in that direction: ocregister.com/2019/03/07/rep…

Original Yahoo Report
BREAKING: @ChrisBHaynes reports Lakers will put LeBron on a minutes restriction and likely won't let him play back-to-backs.

LONZO PROBABLY PUT FOR THE SEASON
I’m sure we’re all shocked by this
Per Oram
Luke Walton is making it sound likely that Lonzo Ball will sit out rest of season. He has stressed he’s “not close” to returning to practice, and LAL would want a week’s worth of practice before putting in games. Goal could soon shift to getting him healthy for full offseason.

KUZ KOMEBACK
Per Trudell
Kyle Kuzma (sprained ankle) did 75% of the work in practice today and said he is hoping to play on Saturday. Luke Walton said they’ll see how he responds in the morning, but he hasn’t been ruled out of the game against Boston.

ROLLING BACK ON EARLIER LEBRON STATEMENTS
Per Bres
Luke Walton emphasized that LeBron James was not officially on a minutes “restriction.”
There might be games where he plays normal minutes if the Lakers are playing well, Walton added.

BRANDON - VERY SERIOUS NOT GOOD NEWS AT ALL
Per Lakers
OFFICIAL: Brandon Ingram, who has missed two games due to a sore right shoulder, underwent further testing yesterday which revealed a Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) in his arm.
Ingram is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
https://twitter.com/lakers/status/1104450813970198528?s=21
Thank heavens it was caught early, and he’s young so that works in his favor. As a DVT survivor I’ll be praying his treatment goes well. |

LONZO REPORT - although I’m not 100% on the source
Per Yahoo Sports (?)
Lakers guard Lonzo Ball has a re-evaluation checkup on his ankle today and there’s strong suspicion he’ll also be ruled out the remainder of the season, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
https://twitter.com/chrisbhaynes/status/1104456178375974912?s=21
I’m not too into “league sauces” reports but other people here have told me that this guy is a mouthpiece for LeBron so ??? |

SOME BRANDON INSIGHT
Per Bres
The blood clot in Brandon Ingram’s arm is a condition seen more often in baseball players, specifically pitchers.
I just talked with a doctor and a former major-league baseball GM. They both said blood thinners are the typical treatment.

LONZO - BETTER SOURCES
Per Ohm (who retweeted Ramona)
This has been expected by some within Lakers for some time, that unfortunately Lonzo Ball was unlikely to return this season due to the injury. Ball and Lakers were hoping things might improve with time. With Lakers out of playoff race, no reason for Ball to return this season
https://twitter.com/notoriousohm/status/1104494968876363776?s=21
Ramona’s Tweet
The expectation is that Lonzo Ball will also be shut down for the rest of the year after his Dr appt this afternoon. When I saw him the other night he said he couldn’t walk but not run or jump yet.

LONZO - I WISH THE LAKERS WOULD JUST PUT OUT A DAMN STATEMENT AND BE DONE WITH IT
More vague allusions to the obvious fact that Lonzo is out for the season
Per Shams
Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball has been shut down for the remainder of the season, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Ball had his left ankle re-evaluated by doctors today and sides agreed on course of action.

LAKERS STILL NOT OFFICIALLY CALLING LONZO DONE
Per Goon (click the link to read what appears to be a press release that he attached to his tweet)
The Lakers say that Lonzo Ball will be re-evaluated in two weeks. I think you should take that with a grain of salt.

Basically I mean aren’t there only four weeks left in the season? I wonder why they’re so reticent to just call it a day and Move On. |

TRUDELL TYPED OUT THE LONZO REPORT
From Lonzo Ball’s re-evaluation by the team medical staff: he continues to make good progress in recovery from the bone bruise related to his sprained ankle, and has been cleared for non-contact basketball activities. He’ll be re-evaluated in 2 weeks.
