If that's the case he'll have to take cortiszone shots. you can only safely take so many per year. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

^ makes me wonder why he wouldn't take them before the biggest game of his life. That whole situation with him is so weird. |

Rams sign Eric Weddle. Nice move. Still a very good player. He'll essentially replace free agent Joyner. |

Joyner was one of the first players I had on my list to replace. I loved his aggressiveness and he was a good tackler for such a small safety but he just often seemed like he wasn't on the same page with the rest of the DBs. _________________ "Suck it up. The Rams have re-signed Dante Fowler to a 1-year deal, right before free agency officially opens. |

This is Crapoport, so I guess the dollar figure could be off, but $14MM does seem a little pricey for Dante Fowler, no? He was rated "above average" at 67.3 last year by PFF, but his stats don't jump off the page.

Last night, the #Rams agreed to terms with pass-rusher Dante Fowler Jr. on a 1-year deal worth $14M, source said. The former 1st rounder gets another year with the team that traded for him at roughly the amount that the fifth-year option would’ve been, then can hit the market. |

Yep. 8-10M sounds better but then I didn't watch him that closely.
I just looked up what Spotrac says and they say 9.1M. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

Though the Rams released Barron, Les Snead just said that they will continue to monitor his market. I guess it's not out of the question that he could return, at a reduced price. |

We lost Rodger Saffold to the Titans and didn't re-sign John Sullivan. The Saffold loss really hurts as he and Whitworth were a force on the left side.
Whitworth's gonna be lining up with a bunch of young guys. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

He signed a one year deal to be a backup QB for the Rams. |

I'm sad to see Saffold go. He was one of the longer tenured vets on the team and went thru some rough years. Wish him the best.
I like the Bortles signing, he's more than serviceable. I have no idea how Mannion lasted 4 seasons. He showed NOTHING.
Need to shore up the LB spot and plug some holes in the OL and DL. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

I do not like that deal for the Rams.....been ok with 1 year to see if he is kind of rejuvenated. He appeared on the path to being washed last season. |

I agree that he didn't look good last season, and PFF's ratings bear that out. But I'm sure it's probably really a 1-year deal in terms of the guaranteed money, and I'm going to assume that they can easily move on after 1 season if they want to.
The Rams are also apparently counting on Joseph Notebook kicking inside to left guard to replace Saffold. |

Malcolm Brown signed an offer sheet with Detroit. I hope the Rams don't match it and commit to a solid backup for TG. That backup needs to be step in and play three downs if needed. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Since the Lions’ offer sheet is worth $3.25MM over two years, with $1MM guaranteed and a $100K signing bonus, I don't have a big problem with matching it--but this depends on CJ and who else might be on the radar. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

2019 schedule released
LINK
Other than Pittsburgh in early Nov, no cold weather games and we get the Saints in our house this time. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

The schedule looks difficult in the first half of the season. |

The Rams have now traded back twice. Are they acting as though they have no depth? Or is the back of draft somewhat comparable to the top? _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

And with the 254'th pick the LA Rams . . . wait, no . . .they traded back to 2020.
