If the DVT stems from messed up shoulder muscles that are compressing the vein , then I doubt he can shoot/dribble etc. That theory was thrown out there by Dr. Brar

My understanding as someone in the medical field (but NOT a specialist...) -- Typically it takes about 1 week for results from the thrombophilia panel / blood clotting labs that are run to determine if people have a predisposition for clots. And unless all the testing came back stone cold normal, I'm not sure we'll be privy to the results (there are some indeterminate / intermediate results that are difficult to interpret).

And in terms of his current DVT, my understanding is it it takes time for that to resorb. So no news is good news in the sense nothing more concerning has come up.

My hope is that, at some point in the next week, we hear that 'testing has thus far been reassuring.' Which likely just means, now that he has had 1 previously clot, testing hasn't shown to him to be at significantly increased risk for recurrence thus requiring him to be on prolonged blood thinners past resolution of this current DVT.

Safe and speedy recovery, BI!

The same Stephen A. that has ranted on how much the Lakers need to trade Ingram.. BS.

I would say the same SAS that raved about Magic and Pelinka at the beginning of the year. Same SAS that said the Lakers should take Ball with the 2nd pick and then questioned why the Lakers did with better players available lol

Fact remains.. hes been vocal, and insistent that the Lakers should trade Ingram.

Yes but I'm saying he is full of hot air.

Gotcha..

My bad bro.. =)

Don't worry, you were not rude......

Luke said today that BI told him that he’s feeling good... that’s obviously a good sign... hopefully this turns out nothing and he’s back to his off season training in the summer.

Blood clots are serious... "feeling good" is great. But I'm worried about the underlying reason.

Yep, they ended Bosh's career on the spot and for good reason. Really hope it's a one off thing...

(bleep) man this entire season took a dark turn but this right here is the worst. Speaking just in terms of a fan (because obviously his life and health is the biggest concern), Ingram is the first guy after Kobe that's starting to become my favorite player.

I just pray he comes back healthy, in purple and gold, and with a clear long term future in LA.

Also treatment with blood thinner is 3 to 6 mos which put him on schedule for training camp

this is blessing in disguise
he cant be traded
that would be cold blooded if they try to trade him

so for now best offer for AD is

Kuz, Hart, Zo, 2019 top 12 pick, future pick?

but i bet Lonzo is heading to the knife this summer lol.

so we keep all our youngs

Zo
hart
Ingram
Lebron
??

Have to hope for the best but in the worst case scenario, we lose a major asset in BI if he can't play anymore.

Maybe the cold hard reality is BI has to settle for a less than ideal extension on his first go around, and then he excels and gets a better deal on his 2nd contract.

Sorta how GW were able to pull ahead talent wise. Signed Curry on a discount based on his injury history.

I didn't comment since the news broke so here goes...

This sucks. It sucks for BI mostly. He was finally coming into his own on the court and I can sense LBJ is liking this offensively aggressive and efficient player.

I hope nothing but the best for him in his recovery. I want to see him out there in Oct during preseason games working out the kinks of playing with 2 1st options in James and Davis.

It also affected Hakeem Olajuwon in a big way at the tail end of his career.

I thing Mirza Teletovic is a "lesser name" that also retired because of that, but is case went further into pulmonary embolism like Bosh. Let's hope Ingram doesn't get to that.

Hopefully that will help with his clotting issue! Glad he didn't wait till the offseason. No need to postpone the recovery period.

I highly doubt we trade BI unless it’s a deal we can’t refuse.

Happy to hear he will get relief, but the surgery creeps me out. I wonder what they specifically did in this case. Apparently the surgery involves either removing part or all of a rib or some of the muscle tissue. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/thoracic-outlet-syndrome/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20353994
