It's funny that no matter how big a punchline the guy can be, he actually was pretty prescient on both the internet and Climate Change. _________________ “We must always take sides. No, and he never claimed to. He merely took credit (correctly) for being a visionary legislator who helped make it possible. One of the actual inventors of the internet, Vincent Cerf, said:
Quote: | “Al Gore was the first political leader to recognize the importance of the Internet and to promote and support its development” and that “No other elected official, to our knowledge, has made a greater contribution [to the Internet] over a longer period of time |

Gores's Quote - March 9, 1999
Quote: | “During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country’s economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system.” |
sounds a lot like "I created the internet".... |

I agree. I was just having fun with the meme that arose. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Quote: | Marc Andreessen: Mosaic was built at the University of Illinois. I was an undergrad student, but I was also a staff member at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, which is basically a federally funded research institute. When Al Gore says that he created the Internet, he means that he funded these four national supercomputing centers. Federal funding was critical. I tease my libertarian friends—they all think the Internet is the greatest thing. And I’m like, Yeah, thanks to government funding | .

This is an article from 08' I believe. Pretty cool story. Private companies, like AT&T didnt want to invest in it, so the government had to fund it. Commies. |

We should distance our campaign from Bill Clinton's popularity.
While results were still hotly disputed and recounts were being demanded: Calls to concede to Dubya way too early, then has to retract it.
After loss, in Congress to other Dems calling him Mr. President: The rules DO matter. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL
