New plan for Magic:

Hire Tom Izzo
Sign Draymond in 2020
Blame Pelinka for dirty wolverines draft pick Wagner

If it also includes a trade for JJJ, I'm down.

JJJ would be money. He’s going to be a beast in this league.

FWIW, I'm not sure Lebron can stay healthy if we play at a pace that maximizes Lonzo and Kuzma's worth (fastest pace in the league). That's why LBJ got hurt on a non-contact injury. Strained his groin running a pace he wasn't used to/prepared for.

I'd trade both Lonzo and Kuz if we can get equal value back.

Also, Ingram's blood clot issue is the elephant in the room. Will he play again? Or is he Chris Bosh? If he's healthy, keep him. He's a lockdown defender 3rd option (which Lebron will need to win chips).
If he's the next Bosh, move him. Before the rest of the league finds out.

The FO also has to find a way to match the 2019-2020 roster with the next coach. Everybody blames Magic for DLO, but if Jim and Mitch kept MDA. DLO would still be here.
We must match coaching with the roster. Something our last FO didn't do going back to firing Brown for MDA when we got Dwight (Brown turned Bynum into an allstar, that's how we got Dwight in the first place).

All these things are easier said then done. But I hold out hope.

Lakers over everything.

Are you expecting other teams to not take a deep dive into Ingram's medical records?

Hes there with Jesse Buss. Jesse probably invited magic along and magic wanted to be on espn.

That's a great point. So, scratch trading him.
Just let him expire if he can't stay healthy. Sucks to lose a #2 pick like that. But if he's unplayable. We should just be happy we didn't extend him.

You acting like he’s not gonna ever play again just wait and see. This is probably gonna save the lakers from trading another young stud in the long run. Magic and pelinka are truly dumb and dumber totally destroyed a young team on the rise

He went out last year. I don't consider that live scouting vs just wanting to be at the game, networking and socializing.

Mo has not been that special and seems to make a lot of mistakes. Did they get enamored with his NCAA run and think he would provide shooting they didn't sign? If the rumors were true, I think Mitchell Robinson was the better pick. Still very raw but will be a Tyson Chandler type of player if he continues to develop and perhaps more. Landry Shamet has been decent as well. Not sure about the others though. The draft got weak pretty quick.

Maybe. Given our previous success with late 1st round picks he has been disappointing as a rookie, but I'll give Mo a pass this season as deer-in-the headlights is not unusual for a rook. I better hear about him working his tail off this summer though.

Robinson's averaging 2.4 blocks in 19 minutes. I haven't watched a single Knick game other than when they played us. Robinson didn't play in that game so I'll get my first look tomorrow.

As with all other drafts and draft picks, let's revisit in 2 more years. Mo will probably calm down a bit, and for all we know, Robinson may never develop his skillset enough to be great (or he may become a superstar). Too soon to tell.

Yes - fans have a bad habit of falling in love with looks, metrics, projections and stats based on a small sample size.

A short list of the LG superstars:

Javaris Crittendon
Marcus Banks
Johnathan Bender
Devin Ebanks
Robert Upshaw

Lots of bigs have slow starts or injuries early and have come back to have nice seasons.

First of all, you're speculating about Lebron. It is just as likely, if not more likely, that he had the injury because he's 34 with lots of mileage. He'd hardly be he first athlete or person to start getting major injuries in his mid-30s. Beyond that, he strained his groin in a half-court set, no? Not running full speed.

Secondly, I would presume the next coach will maximize Lebron, not do the run, run, run thing if it doesn't make any sense. And I think both Zo and Kuz can be fine at a slower pace (I'd argue Kuzma might be better playing more deliberately and not launching shots all the time at a high rate). Zo's utility in increasing pace is as an opportunistic initiator of the break off of rebounds; you can fast break opportunistically with Lebron, without having to just run for the sake of running.

And it's because of the Dodgers. Not Laker-related but another team in another sport.

Such lack of awareness is truly astonishing.

Magic has nothing to do with running the Dodgers.

Add Hart and Kuzma. They could be good role players but will never live up to the LG hype.

Letting Randle go for nothing was absurd. To me, this is the one damning thing on magic and Rob's watch. Yeah, I know Randle wasn't happy and Mintz is a snake... But guess what? Too bad! We're not letting you go for nothing. Enjoy your qualifying offer and suck it up. Who knows, you might end up enjoying playing with lebron.

The second on the list is zubac for Muscala... Seriously, WTF?

Honestly, I'm least annoyed by trading D'angelo. We got an acceptable return (though we let brook walk...) I still think Russell will always be a bit of an unathletic chucker.
