Such a smart, calculating politician.

def smart politic. Do you personally want the impeachment as a citizen (I do, just the fact that Trump collude with Russia which makes him a traitor) or it's better if he's used as politic wins (as noted in article) for you?

I want to get him out of office as soon as possible. That's more important than anything. I also want him tried and punished. If impeaching him is going to end with him staying in office and a bunch of political capital wasted to "do the right thing", I'm not for it. I don't believe in hollow gestures. The first rule of exercising power is to have power. Never trade power for feeling good about yourself (there are times when you trade power for doing the right thing, but saying we impeached him isn't that).

Excellent points. I agree

I'm with Nancy about impeaching Trump. The Democratic controlled House may impeach but I don't think the the Republican controlled Senate would convict. He won't be convicted and that will give him a See There talking point. I'm in the vote him out school. We're stuck with Donald until 2020.

I like Biden’s “maturity” and mainstreamness. However, the creepy Biden videos will become a thing and will turn a lot of people off. Mark my words. I also just want Trump out so if it’s Biden it’s Biden. Or Beto. Or Yang. Or...

i'm more interested in who can actually beat Trump and imo Biden gives the Dems the best chance.

We need someone who can win working class people over and win swing states.

I live in Pennsylvania. If we nominate Biden, he wins here easily.

Word is Biden reaches out to Beto to draft him (and they’ve both been waiting each other out to get in behind the other guy), but Beto feels he has a shot.

It’s a funny race. Seems like in general the charismatic communicator types have policy issues and the policy people have charisma/communication issues. I guess that’s typical. Very interested to see how it shakes out. Still leaning towards Harris running away with it.

The biggest problem for Kamala is she doesn’t feel authentic. Warren, Bernie, Beto, Biden Booker, all have a genuine “them” to them. Politicians sure, but based on the real them. Kamala just feels like a character.

You think that is worse than videos of Trump saying he wants to bang his own daughter or the way he touches her?

Yeah, Obama had better federal governing credential but the way people buzz about Beto reminds me so much of 2007, both good orators too

I'm sure we'll hear at least, oh, a hundred times that Abraham Lincoln lost a Senate bid as well, before being elected President.

The bigger question would be which Avenger is Beto? Is he more Captain America or Hawkeye? Or maybe the Vision, cause he's a kind of sexy robot just learning to feel things, man. What sayeth LG.com?

And Bernie's gotta be Bruce Banner/The Hulk, right?

Only Trump and his followers would be brazen enough (there are other words to use as well) to make this much of an issue.

Trump on Beto

“Well I think he has got a lot of hand movements,” the president said during a White House meeting with Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar. “I've never seen so much hand movement.”

He added, “Is he crazy or is that just the way he acts?”

It pains me that Trump can be funny sometimes.

Similar to a pre-teen. He has 0 self-awareness. And he projects a ton. Which can be funny. Until it sets in, he's the most powerful person on the planet.

. . . and some 40ish percent of the population will follow him regardless.
