@Mr. Untouchable: Kawhi Leonard is in fact in attendance at LeBron James Toronto Reunion one source said.

It's been reported that Kawhi was spotted at LBJ's party in Toronto last night. Keep planting the seeds LeRecruit.

"It's been reported" - maybe the most passive-aggressive meaningless phrase in the history of news-breaking.

I agree when it comes to just rumors of what someone's opinion is behind closed doors but this is different... you cant really BS about someone physically being in attendance at something

Bron needs to get down on his knees for Kawhi to come here. Rich Paul better offer him some Space Jam type movie roles or other projects with Bron.

I totally get the "Moneyball" approach here, but Magic/Rob are no "Moneyball" guys.

Now, applying both your prescriptive (what you suggest) and predictive (what we think Maginka) will do, what is your lineup?

Curry -- min
Bullock -- 4ish mill per (BE)

PG - James - Ball
SG - Curry - (Hart)

I'd have to run the numbers, but not sure we can have Bullock's cap hold and enough to sign Dedmon to that amount. I really don't think Mbah is getting a full room exception coming off a year where he was hurt most of the season and is 32. I would in your scenario use the RE on Bullock (might have to relinquish his Bird rights?).

I think Seth Curry is getting more than the minimum though.

Yeah, I know I'm reaching with the numbers a bit.

All the more reason, however, to follow my original scenario -- much more realistic, clean, and doable.

The numbers IIRC work for this:

-have to renounce Bullock first to have enough cap space.
-Jimmy or Kemba at max (I'm assuming KD, KL, Klay, etc. all go elsewhere).
-Dedmon with remaining cap space.
-room exception for whomever you want at the wing shooter spot (let's say Bullock for purposes of this discussion).

That sort of fits with what Magic wants (big name), better shooting (Dedmon/Bullock).

No one seems to be mentioning Rudy Gay... he’s a FA this summer... and would add value to our team.. he’s shooting 41% from 3 this season.

Nah. We need real shooters.. not “having a career year on low volume” shooters

I doubt that Brook has any desire to return here. Bridges are burnt.

ok, but that was not my question

I can’t answer your question, this offseason will probably be different than the past couple were. More money usually means that some get overpaid, Brook might be one but I doubt that his brother is.
