I admire your optimism, bro. I doubt it'll happen though.

How soon they forget....

I just don't get the Kobe/LBJ debates.

Kobe will always be more beloved by the Lakers fanbase.

LBJ has played 15 seasons elsewhere and is coming here at the twilight of his career. Is there no way to appreciate both great players' careers?

Handy LG tip... Don't bother discussing LeBron with any poster who has the word Kobe in their screen name unless you want to sit quietly for a 20-minute rant about how LeBron is the Antichrist

I appreciate Lebron’s career just as I appreciated Karl Malone’s.

Lebron just has to give the people a reason to cheer.

Nah. It was a joke. But I'm sure your comment will go over well with the three or four ranters I was referring to

I have a Kobe Only Fan (Like Lin Only Fan) joke but it sorta crosses the line, so I’ll refrain.
Hint: It involves one on one and Colorado. 😝

Man you can't drop the hint and expect us to just sit here wondering what it is

I really hope so. There are levels of Kobe fans and it shows on this message board.

The KOBE stan - This individual is all about Kobe's legacy and probably would rather see the team with Lebron fail so they can prop Kobe's greatness. This person is not a Lakers fan and is despised by true Laker fans.

The Kobe Laker lover - Kobe was the reason this individual became a fan of the Lakers but now would rather see the Lakers win even if it somehow diminished Kobe's legacy.

The true Laker fan - This individual cares about the well-being of the current Lakers team and what is best for the future. The former greats are certainly appreciated but they are irrelevant to the current team.

Personally, I don't care why someone roots for the Lakers, or whether they love/hate Kobe or Lebron. That's their business.

I just get bored by the same three or four posters who cut-and-paste the same rants about Lebron every day in every possible thread. Don't see what they get out of it except high-fiving each other. But such is the Internet.

Glad that's in the open. Need a motivated LeCruit this summer.

Trade him to the Knicks for Zion. They can probably get KD as well.

People don’t get it. Lebron will be better than Zion and Randle until the day he retires.

i never understand the fanfare for an individual player in a team sport such as basketball. this isn't tennis or golf or NASCAR. i never understand what would be the bragging rights for Kobe fans if the Lakers remain irrelevant season after season. do they fell they have an upper hand on the LeBron fans that Kobe's Lakers accomplished more in the past? well, whoopididoo, the team still sucks as we speak, i just don't get this back and forth between kobe and LeBron jockers.

Kobe Stan here. We win either way. Lakers do well? I am a Lakers fan and enjoy it. Lakers do bad? Lebron exposes further that he is a fraud without super teams in the East.
