it is not personal.....but when Lebron fully embraces the Lakers and Laker nation....the feelings will be reciprocated. As long as he approaches it as he is just stopping by for a few years, and more focused on his brand than the Lakers success, the relationship will remain lukewarm.

This is really an apples-to-oranges question.

Fans tend to "love" the 13th guy on the bench who smiles a lot, especially if he has a feel-good story. But the "love" is shallow, like the "love" people feel for a photo of a cute puppy. If Ingram actually started to play, and didn't perform well, that "love" will disappear really quickly.

In contrast, Lebron actually matters. He's held to a much higher standard than an Ingram, and emotions about him will always be more complex.

This isn't even close. Ingram was a really really good story that made people feel good at the end of a fully lost season. Lebron has caused more issues than anything else thus far.

Lebron needs to make some playoff memories and probably most importantly have some championship moments. Otherwise he will probably be seen by the majority of fans as just another star passing by.

I know some people get this feeling, but I gained a lot of respect for LBJ when he signed a 4 year deal here without another star in place, stating that he trusted that they could build a contender together and how much he wanted to bring us back to contending. Of course he has off the court interests (which he doesn't need to be in LA for), but the salty Philly fans claiming LBJ just forgot about basketball and has no competitive drive anymore are fooling themselves. Lebron is the last guy I worry about, and this coming from a proud lebron hater over his career lol

No worries. All in good fun. I disagree with your conclusions a lot, but I admire your passion!
