This guy had ONE (bleep) good game against us and Magic/RP decided to give up our best big man on a great contract for (bleep) Muscala.

This will go down as one of the (bleep) worst trades ever just because I truly believe if we had Zu still, we'd still be fighting for a playoff spot.

Totally bummed we traded him! That was the icing on the cake for me this year. Absolutely terrible. Not only was he a solid center he was a good guy! Was kinda a co story!! Not to mention Thomas Bryant was let go. You can’t make this stuff up!!

We literally just give up all our high-character, skilled guys, for headcases.

I miss Zubac, it feels like we gave him away to help the tank.

Hey I just saw the Jazz highlights, but it looked like Muscala was starting to look like the 3-point threat/floor spacer that we'd traded for.

Thoughts?

He just suckered another team into giving him a contract with that game.

Last couple weeks he’s looked good. He even blocked Anthony Davis early on with us.

Played better the fast few games - might re-sign him if he plays for the minimum, but I doubt he takes that little.

He's looked very good, especially his defense. I was surprised the most at how well he was able to keep in front of perimeter attackers. For instance, he was switched onto D.Mitchell vs. the Jazz below the three point line and covered him well enogh to force an off balance long two that easily missed. He's had several of those situations where he didn't get badly burned.

Despite Zubac's stregnths over Muscala (inside post ups and general rim protection), I am ultimately pleased with the trade and hope we can resign him for a reasonable amount.

The better he played the less we heard about Zubac being traded. Funny how fast things change on LG.

ehh he merely got in some decent games that was way overdue after the many stinkers he laid. Muscala is clearly not a "bad" NBA player but that trade was still awful... giving up a young and cheap center for one who has already peaked, has a redundant skillset to our 1st round pick Wagner, and cant even afford to resign

I just know its a tough sell to Lakers fans, since we want instant result. Muscala was absolutely lost after he got traded, but his last 5 games he showed how he can help the club. Zu and Svi I like a lot and I wished we could have kept them both, but team felt we can still make a run after the ASB with better veteran perimeter shooter. No one is going to give the Lakers what they want, Zu and Svi was just the cost of getting veteran shooting here. But as we know we didnt expect the severity of the injury from Ball, BI, Hart, LBJ and Kuz. Cant fault the FO for trying, cause I can easily see the pieces working great if things goes way they planned. Bullock and Muscala would have provided the spacing they needed for LBJ to operate, but the injuries is just too much to over come.
