I still believe Juwan Howard will be a serious contender. He checks all the boxes.

It's gonna be Tom Izzo. Fits Magic Johnson's mold for a head coach.

Why isn't LeCoach an option?

I think it will be Ty Lue. Very predictable move by Maginka.

Why isn't there a "none of the above" option?

I’ve never been a Ty Lue fan but let’s dissect this. He’s not afraid of Lebron. He beat an All-Time great team in the Finals and brought CLE their first championship in 50 years. He’s better than Luke. He can adjust his entire team’s philosophy to beat a team like the Warriors.

I know he’s not some young, hot shot, pale skinned, handsome, charming college coach with fresh new ideas... but how’s the wonder boy Stevens doing these days? Pretty pedestrian I’d say. I’m sure Lue could have coached the Celtics to mediocrity as well.

Very true. Although I'm not a fan of his, he is better than Luke so that's an upgrade.

Tristan Thompson then. He can also be closer to Khloe out here.

Oh I have no clue

Last I heard he cheated on Khloe with Kylie Jenner's best friend. Weird family man.

While ex-Cal star and Hall of Famer Jason Kidd is expected to be a target for his old school for their newly opened head coach job, a source said he is still strongly interested in returning to the NBA as a head coach and could wait to see what opens up.

Woj

Kidd will be among the serious candidates for the Lakers coaching job if Luke Walton is dismissed, league sources tell ESPN. That’s expected to give Kidd some pause on pursuing the Cal opening now.

I will stop watching if Magic hires Kidd. The guy is one of the greatest Lakers but this will push me over after all his mishaps he’s done since he took over. I’m sick
Edit : I actually remember Ramona saying on the Sedano show that Kidd wouldn’t be considered. I want to say she said that like two weeks ago

That passes for imagination in today’s Lakerland. Dr. Buss would be rolling over in his grave.
