If the Lakers strike out on all of the top free agents (Durant, Kawhi, Kyrie, Thompson, Kemba, Butler), I'd be open to giving DMC a one year placeholder contract and then court AD the following year. |

I would too, but idk how willing he'd be to come here for cheap like he was this year. He took the cheap deal to "show out" for his next deal, which he will be looking for this summer, and I doubt he'd settle for a 1 year deal especially if it's not at a premium. |

Cousins is going to do wonders for the Warriors this playoffs. You guys acting like dont touch him with 10' pole. Just wait and see. |

Boogie ain't got time for another 1 year deal. He's signing a long term contract after this season. |

He will be on the bench during crunch time. That is fine for the minimum but not what you want from a highly paid player. Bogut will get those minutes over him, as will Green. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

He couldn't make the Kings win when he was at full strength. He couldn't make a great difference with AD and Jrue in NO. Now, with less explosion, quickness, and more years behind him, people encouraged by 2 recently good statistical games on a stacked team, believe he's a good option for starting center.
This smells similar to Mozgov 2.0 from where I'm sitting. But at least he's a big body. |

I'll take him if we also get to have Steph, KD, Klay and Dray all come with Boogie.

Sign Cousins for half his real value... I'm telling you guys, Boogie has become the forgotten man!!
It's simple logic: Boogie (~$20m), Ingram, Kuzma, Ball, 4th pick 》Davis! |

Who can't this team beat if healthy and assuming Durant bounces?
C - Cousins ($20m), McGee, Wagner
F - Lebron, Kuzma
F - Ingram, Hunter
G - Danny Green, Hart, Bonga
G - Ball, Austin Rivers, Caruso |

Theres definitely a roster spot but I don't think the Lakers are going to pay for what he's going to ask for. |

Boogie for me is a failed off season. Save the cap space. Just not worth it IMO |

Folks are quick to forget how dominant this guy is when healthy. I honestly don't think AD has proven to have a greater impact on winning than Boogie so far. Not saying I wouldn't take AD over Boogie.. but in terms of impact on winning..AD is overrated.
AD is the greater overall help defender and finisher around the basket.. boogie is a better passer and probably a better screen setter. In terms of rebounding and scoring.. they are even when both are healthy. Now Boogie can also add championship experience.
For a discount price due to recent injuries and the low demand for starting centers in free agency as well as the opportunity to keep and develop the youth... I will take a very close look at Boogie if I were the Lakers and forget about overpaying for AD. |

Hes been injured a lot, even after returning from his big injury of last season hes been missing games in the playoffs and plays restricted minutes. Too risky to splash 20M on him _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

So AD, Lebron and ring chasers is a successful offseason? |

$20 Million for Boogie Cousins? For multiple years? Magic, is that you? |

A quad injury that he'll have all summer to recover from and has already shown signs of recovery? Sometimes it's good to buy low. |

I'm just saying a lot of you have forgotten what he's capable of. Add the championship experience he's getting now and the chance to have a full summer to recover.. don't be shocked if it ends up rather being a bargain.
We address a position of need while having $12m more to chase another quality vet wing: Danny Green, Ariza, T Ross in order of preference.
Don't get me wrong.. the likes of Kawhi and KD are my first choice but if we strike out.. I'll seriously consider Cousins.
Btw, unlike Magic..I can confidently say I have a better eye for under valued talent. |

Please. God. No.
It's quite simple.
Before his injury:
He was not an efficient offensive player
He was a bad defender
Torn achilles later...
He's not an efficient offensive player.
He's an even worse defender.
He does not impact winning. He didn't before he tore his achilles, and he won't after. Your case has been denied. |

If we had no choice and we were capped out anyways that might be a different story. But I would consider it wasting the cap just for him. |

You're really under selling the guy especially for the price he can be signed at. |
