I wish to atone for my horrific misstep. I am ashamed of my actions and apologize profusely to all whom I’ve offended at LG and for embarrassing my friends and family as well as the Lakers organization. I ask for forgiveness and I hope that I will be able to move forward with a renewed sense of diligence in an attempt to make amends for my harrowing mistake.

That pass by Nash on Kobe's second three is just so, so good.

Hear ya.

Nash was one of a kind. I was beyond excited when we got him. Too bad it all ended with that freak injury on his 2nd game.

HUEY!

Countless favorites but I'll go with a few that have went relatively under the radar over the years -

Moonshot over Lebron

All 3 of these shots on Lebron but especially the last massive FU

Kobe making Wade look like PnP

Kobe has Ray Allen join Vince Carter in the shadow realm

Kobe makes Dwight look like a clown ON the court

Kobe brushing off that kid Raja

Kobe taunting the classless Utah crowd before it was cool

Kobe capping a huge comeback in the WCF over supposed all-time equal Duncan

I broke my own ankle watching the footwork on this

You could go through hours of highlights against any random sorry ass team or any player. The dude was unreal. KOBE!

I love the crowd reaction in the moonshot over Lebron one. I'm not sure I've ever seen so many physically reacting in frustration in one go. I detect admiration combined with crushed dreams and awe. They feared him...with good reason.

I took a memorable road trip to New York City and caught the Lakers at MSG and saw this one live.

Captain Sprewell went down with the ship here!

lucky

that was one of three embarrassing career moments given to sprewell by the Lakers. The first was Magic's pass fake in his comeback game. The third was Kobe putting him on skates in the 04 playoffs:

Yup, Shaq got ejected for almost snapping Bimbo Coles' back in twain; Kobe dominated the remainder of regulation and overtime. This was the first time I thought Kobe might be truly great. He'd shown tremendous talent and skill before this, so it was never a question that he'd be something, but after this it was clear he'd be something else.

Has there EVER been a player that was better at splitting defenders (with
absolutely no room to maneuver) in driving to the basket? This was my favorite part of his game.

There was a point from about 03-10 where Kobe was adding a new move to his arsenal every year, and I was always curious why Kobe never utilized the euro step more, I think I've only seen it from him a handful of times.

Couldn't pass this thread up - great idea!

And haha wow, that's awesome. Glad YouTube didn't take it down. The quality of that clip is excellent. I've watched it so many times and still am in awe of that lad.

Funny thing is those clips are just off the top of my head - once I start pulling a few, I was like damn, you can pick so many against that same player (multiple times destroying any of those players or teams, e.g. Kobe hitting the game winner against Ray Allen when he was on Boston, and then said something like "my elevator just goes a little higher than his" lol). What a legend.

In addition to the crowd reaction, love Kobe's nonchalant "...this is your King?". If I recall, Kobe was sick going into that game, too. No "Load Management" here.

Not sure if posted but this power dribble to the right to a reverse pivot at MSG was filthy:

That's some 9th degree black belt stuff right there.

-- Of course TA beat me with that clip .

JB!

Haha, yeah, and turns out it's a CMB upload.

That pivot was INSANE. I recall trying that in the gym the next day. Pretty sure I traveled. Double dribbled. Crab dribbled. And then airballed. Really felt like PnP for that glorious minute though.
