Joe Pesci is a master when it comes to hilarious posts
Where did that come from. I did quote the wrong post ... but the team he put together leaves a lot to be desired imo. Some people just struggle with communication skills.

Exactly, believing this IGotSources dude is beyond idiotic.
My ego is intentionally small, so, although I disagree, your criticism is respectfully recieved. I'd respond further in a different thread, but here ain't that place. You understand.

She knows nothing
Exactly...I remember someone here saying she is all this and that. She doesn't know crap until she hears it through others. She breaks no news. Ever
This guy knows nothing. He is Bron's friend but not close enough to be getting leaked info from him.
he knew lebron coming here way before anybody else did
This is the same guy that had #RunItBack pictures with Kyrie and Bron. It could happen, but he's not saying it will happen. It's what he wants to happen. A lot of people called Bron to LA, it wasn't that hard of a call.
The revisionist history is startling. All of last year we kept hearing how Lakers fans were delusional for thinking Lebron would come, then once he actually put pen to paper, it shifted to "he was coming anyways, he just wanted to make movies".
“I talked to some of Rob’s former clients. He has lots of good former clients. ‘That guy got the best deal for me by any means necessary’. That’s why ppl dont like him. Rob was the guy making all the incremental moves to get the salary cap space.”
So he's the one that traded D'Angelo and so forth?

No one knows. My guess would be yes. _________________ A creative scorer, a wing defender, and a shooter.

Oh ok. I thought that is what she was saying there. I definitely think that he was the one behind trying to trade all our young players away to get AD because Kobe said he would. I believe he consulted with Kobe.

I'm pretty sure this quote is about when Rob was an agent, not a GM. Getting salary space was for his player clients. Although "incremental" makes it sound odd.

Much of this is fueled by Lebron's actions after he put pen to paper.

My guess is no. Magic didn’t seem to be a dlo fan with leadership comments. Even dlo seemed to hint magic was the guy
The first week of the search followed chaotic week for the franchise. On April 9, Magic Johnson resigned as the Lakers’ president of basketball operations, telling reporters before telling Buss or any other member of the organization. Buss has no plans to hire someone to replace Johnson, who is still expected to be part of the Lakers’ free-agent recruiting this summer in some capacity.

More dysfunction. Lol. Free agents will be asking why do you quit Magic? But you want me to sign up here? Lol he needs to stay away. _________________ Previously LBJ23
Cowherd thinks Kobe would be a good POBO here. I can see the positives behind grooming him for a FO role... he and Pelinka might make a deadly duo. There probably won't be a more appropriate timing for him to enter the FO in some capacity either... seeing as his guy is GM... and Magic didn't do great so the footsteps he has to follow in aren't too big.
Sure. We all know that retired superstars are locks to be good front office executives.
Haha, nothing is ever a lock and especially not this... but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Kobe turning into a good exec either. His profile is quite different to the usual Lakers or NBA superstar from the past, i.e., his background while growing up, work ethic off the court, personality, interests after retirement, more of a draw for the next generation of players/FAs, more modern thinking about running a business, etc... dare I say he's more intelligent too? There's a lot of potential plus points... including that he's close to Pelinka who is already the GM, and they could work well as a team. Perhaps, he could turn into a modern version of Jerry West for us? Who knows? I wouldn't put it past him and we won't know without trying it out.
Anyway, did you give that clip a listen? I started off thinking it would be a bad idea too, especially after the debacle of Magic quitting... but I'm now open to the possibility.
