From what Lonzo was saying, seems like Kuz and Lonzo were relieved that Magic stepped down. Maybe the rumors that Magic was the crazy one trying to trade everyone for AD are true.

Like they still aren't going to try to trade him for AD this summer.

Pels owner remains the same. They are unlikely to trade AD to the Lakers. Plus, BI being out with a blood clot changes the dynamics of our trade assets.

Tatum isn't looking so hot now and the Celitcs picks aren't all that great. We might still have the best package.

I don't think it's about package.

It's the fact we are the Lakers. Even Bill Simmons and Jackie Mac have admitted this not too secret secret.

We don’t, but you don’t get that good just by rapping, making reality tv shows, and doing goofy dances with your brothers on IG. He is working out at the faculty though, we know that for sure.

Forgive me if I take Bill Simmons' word on the Lakers with a grain of salt. Not taking our trade package at the deadline was just good business sense on the part of the Pels to see if they can get a better package for AD with more people bidding. It might blow up in their faces, but if the Pels will trade us AD, Lonzo is gone.

Lonzo has the whole Alan Foster, BBB fiasco that happened recently and it's also a chance for him to clear up the supposedly fallout with his father. It provided Lonzo with an opportunity to tell his own story, and it also makes for great television. I do agree that Lebron took a liking to Lonzo but I doubt it's got anything to do with him playing favorites.

I love your sig lineup. That's my dream too.

Thanks Yinomes

Fingers crossed 🤞🏼The basketball gods smile at us and changes our fortunes, we’ve tanked and suffered enough lol

He sure did.
When Nate Robinson vouches for you, that's the ultimate stamp of approval. Amirite?
But seriously you might be right.

Happy? I don't know about that. I think Lonzo is happy to be there with LeBron...Lonzo is a huge LeBron fan, btw. I'm willing to be that if you asked Lonzo the same question in any formal setting, his response would have been much different.

Context counts.

Agree to disagree. It looked like he was saying him and Kuz finally felt safe and it was time to let loose.

Don't you think that's a stretch?

Looked and sounded more like what people say at a barbershop or when they are trying to make a joke. Parsing words on a reality tv show?

If he said "I didn't care", that would be news. He said he was shocked...then he got over it real quick. After all of the things Lonzo's had to deal with this year, from:

Baby mama drama
almost getting traded
stolen cash
cutting ties with his Dad

I'm not sure Magic quitting ranks very high on that list...seriously...dude has had to deal with a lot in a short amount of time...

In that context, Magic's employment status isn't very important...

Getting traded from your dream team in your home town would be pretty rough. I don’t think it’s a stretch

Me neither.
But if my boss was trying to get rid of me and he ended up leaving, I'd be happy, not sad.

First time I saw the show it seemed like Zo was happy to me. I'd have to ask him what his true intention was to know for sure. It can go either way imo.

Jrue/Zo/Culver/Zion/insert C would be a defensive juggernaut of a starting lineup. No shooting for awhile, but what a defensive powerhouse.

They'd have to get a lot of points in transition.
With jrue running pnr in the half court?

Gentry loves to run and that lineup would produce a ton of extra possessions. They would also have Kuz as a sixth man and if he could regain his rookie year 3pt accuracy, the Pels could close with a small-ball lineup of Zion/Kuz/Culver/Zo/Jrue that would fly up and down the court and maybe have enough spacing to not be totally abysmal scoring in the half-court. It'd actually be closer to the type of dribble-drive roster that Magic wanted to build for the Lakers last summer.
