I don't think KD goes to the Knicks without Kyrie. |

One things for sure. He’s got more sources than IGotSources! |
I know Stephen A Smith has sources but maybe this a situation were Kyrie’s close peers are hoping he joins NY, it doesn’t mean he will. |
I’m not sure what SAS even said, but I know he has talked to Kyrie’s dad in the past. |

I think one of the reasons Lakers loose out of free agency sometimes is we don't stay focused its like we want everybody.
Take your top 3 and go after them hard. Earlly in free agency know where they all stand and pick your choice fast.
That is why we lost out of PG we didn't show focus and we were chasing KL when PG wanted to come. |

But you said "take your top 3." LBJ, PG, KL = top 3 (and KL wasn't a free agent). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

we lost PG because he fell in love with his new BFF Westbrook. And if a player like Kawhi demands a trade its in every team's due diligence to atleast call up that player's GM and start a convo which is basically all the Lakers did as the Spurs were not even trying to engage us.
There is definitely a balance to be made to not alienate other free agents and make them feel like they are plan B. Best way is to have the connections in place to reach out to a players camp and get an honest feel of how likely that player will consider playing here. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Paraphrasing:
“I’m hearing 95% that both Durant and Kyrie are going to the Knicks. It’s pretty much done. Only thing that would get in the way would be James Dolan.”
He also hopes 1st pick goes to NY or the Lakers for Zion. _________________ Tacos |

If we miss on a guy we miss on him. Better to trade him to early then to hold on and get nothing. Be real, a pg shooting under 50% at the foul line is useless. I don’t care if he is a top 10 defender in the league, which zo isn’t even that yet, you can’t have it. Ask any gm in the game if you want zo or Kyrie, I think every single one says Kyrie. So for the original poster to ask why Kyrie, cuz we want to win. |

Kyrie and Zo would be a great back court. They cover each other’s weaknesses on both ends. I see them having great synergy running the break and in transition |

I don't understand why people don't see that. For the same reason Kemba/Lonzo would work too. Lonzo could be a supercharged guard version of Dray Green. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Kyrie is nearly a 50/40/90 player. The Bucks series was an aberration. He's 27 and his prime is coming. 4 yrs younger than Curry.
Kawhi preferred, but Kyrie is a heck of a consolation prize. |

Exactly.
Lonzo plays stellar defense, doesn't need the ball in his hands... Other guards would love to play with him. |

After the endless statements by media whores:
_____ will sign with the Lakers.
_____ will not sign with the Lakers.
Insert a new name and rinse and repeat.
And understanding that they insert Lakers in order to generate interest, I don't believe any of the (bleep) from any of them. Don't believe it til it happens. One way or the other. |

Is it possible that Kyrie's people told SAS he's going to the Knicks just as a smokescreen and that he's really considering coming here? _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

He can’t shoot. And Kyrie and Lebron are both high usage players. We would need to surround them with 3 and D guys. |
