Argue the point Phil is a good executive and right guy to in Jeanie's ear... waiting to hear it.

FYI- Porzingis was a favorite of the scouting department and Phil had to be talked into taking him.

Lets ask why he chose Nitilika over someone like Mitchell? He's in that draft range to be a viable candidate not to overlook. He had first hand experience watching Jordan and Kobe so to me, he's suspect.

We have a President of All Operations, why do we need a POBO? Do we require one? Who was POBO before Magic?

Why did we draft Ball instead of Doncic? Why did we draft Randle instead of Jokic? Why did we draft Devean George instead of Manu?

Because we had a pick Lonzo's year but not in Luka's

Fine, I mixed up one of the drafts. Replace Luka with Mitchell or De'Aron Fox. And I love how you completely ignore the other examples just to be a smartass.

Jokic and Ginobili were second round picks. Literally everyone passed on them once.

Ramona on Phil involved " Accurate, if you look at where they ended up it mirrors the Knicks coaching search. What Rambis & Phil learned from the Knicks was the destructive nature of what oversize superstardom could do to your team. They had Melo who had a NTC, LeBron doesn't."

This quote is just... boy. This one’s still marinating

I wonder if it's her opinion based on her deduction, or if she's been told that.

First Pelinka forced Magic out, and had “siloed” the Buss boys.

Then... no, it’s really Linda and Kurt Rambis secretly running the show.

Now today... ok, forget all that, Phil Jackson is actually lurking in the shadows pulling the strings.

Talk about a cat chasing its tail.

To various degrees, none of those are mutually exclusive. They also paint a picture of a fluid situation with a power vacuum, a feckless, insular, cronyistic leader, and a war for position and primacy.

Dude, it's not an Avengers movie lol. Posts like this just feed the flames of the pent up narratives built up by nothing other than speculative tweets and internet whispers. The only thing that we know for sure is that Jeanie has the final say in things and Rob is running basketball ops. We continually complain about drama and instability but eat up any report that hits the airwaves. It's an ugly cycle and it should stop with the fans engaging the media on their hyperbole so we can get back to real fact-based journalism.

Well, Magic said at his impromptu press conference that he was tired of all the backstabbing and whispering.

Now more than ever, the Lakers need a president of basketball operations moving forward with the #4 pick.

You think Jeanie has any interest in hiring anyone? She feels comfortable with Kurt, Linda, and Phil behind the scenes.

We're not hiring anyone. It was reported weeks ago.

We're rolling with Rob, Kurt and Linda.

I honestly think he waited to sign extension because he was keeping the door open for the Lakers.....it is a huge opportunity missed.

The Washington Wizards have a better idea how to handle this than us. The Washington Wizards.

As Chuck says, Turrible. I can’t trust Jeanie anymore. She doesn’t deserve anymore protection and deserves all the heat that will be directed at her now that she doesn’t have a shield anymore.

No reason why Jeanie shouldn’t be throwing big money at someone like like Griffin or Presti. Dr Buss surrounded himself with best basketball minds, and deferred to them. The Rambis power couple is a far cry from that.

I just don't get why they just don't make Rob the President and elevate one of the Buss brothers or Ryan West as GM, seems like they are too scared of the perception and backlash of making Kurt Rambis POBO.
