Would be funny if we end up sucking for the next 10 years again all because this team doesn't understand how to properly tank.

5 times in the lottery and each time we needed to be selecting higher.

These days I wonder if the Lakers can do anything right smh. Better pray every single night for Kawhi... this #4 doesn't hold much value. The best 3 players will be gone 100% in the top 3. New Orleans don't want this pick or anything to do with us.

Yeah, we need to learn how to tank like the Suns. They won 20 games last season and made out super well last night.

Doesn't matter Ayton has more upside than any of our guys

You should go ask Suns fans if last night mattered.

We'll see what happens with Ayton and the rest of their core.

Zo getting slept on as usual. Teams don't fold in back to back years when a bad player gets hurt. Even an average one wouldn't have the kind of impact Zo does.

I've said many times Lonzo is the one I'd try to keep if we traded away the young guys. I like him as a key contributor on a team with multiple stars, but there isn't much reason for me to believe he has a crazy high ceiling.

I don’t think a Hunter type of role player would even be a consideration at 11. He just seems to be in the right place at the right time, with a cool demeanor (dare I say Kawhi-like) under pressure. Some guys just never give up, and are able to stay calm. Boring personality? Maybe. But so was Horry, Duncan, and Stockton. Keep in mind, I’m talking about court mannerisms. The kind of personality that doesn’t foul needlessly or set you back with techs. Defensively sound as well.

Imo, it’s really just Zion and everyone else. Ja Morant is great but I think he’ll struggle initially due to his weight and lack of shooting.

Garland, before the injury was the #1 PG in the draft...if he’s available @4 ill be really happy. I hope NYk picks RJ

There’s always your Fox’s and Donovan Mitchell’s our there. Can’t always project how talent pans out in the NBA.

I'm ecstatic at the prospect of having one of Garland/Barrett. Can't complain about that considering we were sitting outside of the top 10 just last night.

LOL -- does anyone watch college basketball -- sheesh. There is infinitely more value at the #4 pick then at the 11th pick on two fronts -- 1) you can choose a top 5 college player (Hunter, Culver etc.) or 2) use this pick as part of a trade package to someone who covets the #4 slot

Not good news for THT.

Report: Talen Horton-Tucker pleads guilty to misdemeanor theft

Former Iowa State basketball player Talen Horton-Tucker has reportedly pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge.

Citing court records, the Des Moines Register reported Wednesday that Horton-Tucker pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree theft charge stemming from an alleged incident at an Ames Walmart in early February.

The misdemeanor charge is for alleged thefts of under $200. Per the report, Horton-Tucker is alleged to have taken about $16 worth of goods without paying for them.

Based on past history they miss a lot. Hopefully the scouting dept knows enough to hit this one

Lots of people were all over Fox in 2017. Some on this board wanted him at 2.

As for this draft, Garland/Culver/Reddish all have All Star potential. The 4 pick is pretty good, especially as a trade chip.

For sure... if you gave me a choice of RJ or Garland, ill prob go Garland since I think his game can translate better than Rj especially in terms of shooting which the league is turning in to.

But if NyK takes Garland and we end up with RJ, ill still be satisfied with that vs getting a #11 pick type of player

If NYK picks Garland, RJ is an even more attractive trade asset.

One of the few good things we've done lately is draft well.

D'Lo and Randle have turned into really good NBA players. Ingram and Lonzo have showed flashes of brilliance.

Nance and Zu can play, Hart was a good late first rounder and Thomas Bryant will stick in the league for a long time.

Exactly. Some sound absolutely delusional.

I don't love any player in this draft except Zion, but for sure there will be others who turn out to be very good. It's interesting that with Durant out, the two best players on every team remaining in the playoffs were drafted after the 5th pick.
