Yeah, he is a very much a rich man's version of Randle

Better handles, quicker, can jump higher, better shooting as a young dude. They'll have similar playing styles, Zion is just gonna be a lot better at that style

Zion and Randle (coming out of college) are the same except Zion is superior in every facet. Easy explanation.

why is Zion rated so high compare to Julius Randle? here are the similarities between the two:

1. both are 6'7'' - 6'-8'' PF/C tweener
2. both are physical specimens in terms of physicality in the paint
3. neither are good reliable outside shooters

How's Zion's ball handling and passing compare to Randle? Julius can bring the ball up the court and initiate offense when need to.

another thing that's against Zion is this league is such perimeter oriented nowadays, if your calling card is just low post game, then not much upside to look for. look at the best bigs today: Jokic and Embiid, both can shoot decently from outside, even the threes, and both are good passers. not sure Zion has those attributes.

Giannis is not great of a shooter but his impact is MVP. . Too long and strong.

it's a good question.

they are similar, not much difference. the main difference i think is just the hype behind him. zion is more hyped than randle, but not necessarily any better.

he is way overhyped imo. he only jumps about 4" higher than nba average. big whoop. and like lebron, his skills are average. without the hype...he might just look like a young blake griffin. so thats not bad. but i think people think he is going to be like the next lebron or something.
