JEANIE BUSS BELIEVES in fate.

More specifically, a source familiar with the inner workings of the Lakers who has been in direct contact with Buss told ESPN that Buss believed Johnson was meant to be in his role, that Pelinka was meant to be in his, that James was meant to be a Laker, and whoever is no longer with the organization wasn't meant to be there.

"It's not like she's in complete denial," the source said prior to Johnson's resignation. "But she doesn't give things the proper weight and attention, in my opinion, as she should."

I think its depends young Buss kids. If they get sick of Pelinka, Rambis etc they will demand power else they may join older Buss bros to sell the team. Atleast they will make a bluff. Make a deal with Jeanie as she can stay as owner as long as she cut ties with those guys and make young bros to run Basketball operations.

Not bringing back Mr. Clutch Jerry West

The man wanted to come back to the Lakers after he was done in his role as being an advisor to the Golden State Warriors.

Instead she listened to Kobe sell her on Rob Pelinka and Kobe's game of thrones BS hyped up comparison. And also give the keys to her brother from another mother loud & leaking mouth Magic Johnson who couldn't take the heat or was to distracted with his other billion dollar business ventures.

Stephen A on ESPN saying "I had one source tell me there is NO WAY IN HELL he's signing with the Lakers"

No doubt it was this man:

https://www.nba.com/clippers/sites/clippers/files/styles/story_main_photo/public/800-press-conference-170619_0.jpg?itok=LbWW1WhR

Bottom line is the Lakers not signing Kawhi falls on Magic & Jeanie Buss in the end.

Jeannie & Rob did all anyone could do. Kawhi just convinced PG to ask for a trade. I love Jerry West, but people have to stop acting like he walked on water.

Lakers gave too much for Anthony Davis based on Magic's idea of bringing in 3 stars. Deviating against the original building a team through the draft plan. We went from having DLO, BI, Randle, Zu... Hell we even lucked up when that trade of AD didn't go through and we got to keep Zo and BI, but we didn't look at it as everything happens for a reason. We got a 2nd chance and blew it. We even had a #nd chance at acquiring Russell back and blew it. What the Lakers did do though is balance out the NBA. Smh

Finally a voice of reason. Players go to teams cus of the players. Jerry West is a legend, but he left LA Lakers because he was a nervous wreck. The man is ancient.

Highly respected but a little too much. The 80's Lakers dominated cus of one man. His name is Magic Johnson, drafted by Bill Sharman, not Jerry West. The logo wanted Sydney Moncrief. Look it up young folks.

It's the small details, team building, talent evaluation, getting talked out of desperate trades.....a voice of reason that would serve the well.....

The people in the FO now are learning on the job, not with the Cavs or Hornets but the Lakers.....there is no reason to turn down Jerry West other than pride which has won zero championships

It's funny how Jeanie has a bad case of nepotism, yet she didn't want to bring back the former patriarch of the Lakers in some kind of capacity.

The logo delivered Shaq in his prime in free agency and worked out and traded for Kobe's draft rights all in one summer.

The man is responsible for the Lakers last 5 NBA championships not Phil Jackson, Mitch Kupchak or the Buss Family.

Asking for a friend:

What did Jerry West do to get Kawhi?

Im assuming we're discounting Lawrence and the former thunder front office guy who's on the clip FO.

It hurts, we got played so badly. By everyone, Kawhi, The Clips, the media, everyone. Our front office used to be the best, the smartest, the ones who hustled other teams, now we are the ones on receiving end.

We need someone who can tell if they're being lied to or played.
If Jerry can do that, then I'm in on him.

I am a jeannie fan....but no.....she really messed up by not bringing in someone who can run the front office with experience. I think kawhi used us the whole way and experience gm might have seen this. the game he was playing. Putting together this roster now....this is jeannie fault big time...you cant have someone inexperienced in this position and we might now have to pay for this. I dont care if we lost kawhi but to waste all of this time.
