You have a chance to get Kawhi and AD's prime years, with a still top 10 player in Lebron? Are you kidding me? How is this even a question. I love our young guys but come on now. |
This. You put Lakersanity and VLF in the rotation and win 60 games. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Again, two chronically injured players plus an old timer with no bench.
Take Kawhi with Garland and the kids any day.
You cannot play AD, LBJ, Kawhi on short rotations with heavy minutes.
Some of you are like videogamers who turn off fatigue mode and think you can run them each 40 minutes 82 games.
It doesn't work that way.
The first team is more sustainable.
I'm not saying if they played each other in a 7 game simulation that the B team couldn't win.
I'm saying the second unit of Team A is stronger by far and one tweak to either of three and the ecosystem is trashed for Team B.
Think... instead of falling in love with a three superstar team that has no bench.

team B and I doubt we sign guys like Beverly and Ellington to those contracts but I think we can make a AD trade happen while keeping Kuz.
if you have 3 of the top 10 players in the NBA your team is an instant championship contender. The rest of your roster will work itself out. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Having LeBron and Kawhi on your team already makes you an instant championship contender. That's the reason I like team A because not only is the team setup to win a championship next year, but also years after LeBron is off the team.
Also, another thing to note is that Zo probably has the best chance of guarding Curry out of anyone in the league. He'll be a huge cog for the Lakers in that matchup once they inevitably meet in the playoffs _________________ He's my GOAT |

I don't know what's crazier - asking the thread's question or answering it. Really.
Each defines spinning one's wheels with nowhere to go except maybe to vent, dream or complain. |

But wait, we got an assistant coach specifically for Lonzo Ball! I hope we can deal for AD, but keep Lonzo. But I'm worried the Pelicans won't settle for anything less than what the bozos offered this summer with no other bidders. LOL! |

Of all the young core they liked Zo the most.. So there is absolutely no deal without him.
Edit: Even though I seriously doubt they're willing to make a deal at all. |

If AD didn't have confidence in that NO franchise's ability to commit to an improved success path, I can't visualize him suddenly changing his opinion on that from the basis of a lottery ball bounce.
It's even a question whether Zion and him don't too closely replicate each other's best skill area to prosper together. They do.
That club needs a scoring wing and they need a jumpshooting/playmaking guard to fit with Jrue. I could picture NO dealing away AD for best package possible now especially now that they've got a younger PF-type. It's not as if AD has helped them into the playoffs either. Hit restart and move on from AD. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”
