He was an icon of the sixties, when the NFL was just beginning it’s ascent. He won a bunch of titles, but the Ice Bowl has his defining game. He called his own plays, which must seem alien to younger generations. He was 85. RIP

Quite possibly the most underrated quarterback, at least by the younger folk, of all time. His postseason QB rating is 104.8 which is most impressive, since it is the best of all time, but add to this WHEN he did this, when the average QB rating during his years in the league was 64.38 and one might just begin to realize his dominance in his era.

Started the the tradition of great QBs playing in Lambeau, and is also the very first SB MVP. RIP Mr Starr
