Maybe it was Batman and Robin and he wanted to meet with Chris O'Donnell

It's pretty simple: Kobe either had dinner with Ledger or he didn't. If he didn't, he would be foolish to make up stories to back up Pelinka's made-up stories and pull himself into all this.

Or, since we’re talking about Christopher Nolan movies

Did Kobe have dinner with Heath in a dream?

And is Pelinka the architect of the dream sequence?

How predictable...

Only Kobe-haters like you care about this story.

You're probably the type of dude that got aroused when #flinchgate happened.

Exactly, that's why Kobe's silence is telling.

Which makes me think Rob probably made it up. But if he did he make it up, wow, that is quite a character flaw.

Some people are hyperbolic, some people change details. But this would be pure BS.

Pure BS he's making up on the spot with the Rock and the whole team standing there right in front of him and he's being filmed!

I hope Rob explains this or he should go. Maybe he mixed something up. Maybe it was Christian Bale, who is also a well know character actor. Just tell us, Rob.

Frankly, I'm baffled how anyone could interpret this thread as any kind of dig at Kobe. It's about whether Pelinka has a history of lying, which affects his relationship with other people around the league. That is certainly a topic worthy of discussion.

One more possiblility. Maybe Kobe made up the story. And Rob just added himself into the details. That would also explain why Kobe hasn't said anything.

I love Kobe! But for some reason I could imagine him embelishing some story about meeting Heath Ledger to learn how to get into his "muse cage" and Rob just running with it.

Maybe he just talked about how much Ledger motivated him and Rob added on his own details.....

What a fun story this is. I want to hear more.

I think something like this must be what's going on.

One thing to note is that Kobe did have a colorway of his Nike Zoom Vs, that are named "Dark Knight" and in some of the advertising, its clear its an homage to the film franchize.

If he's good at his job than this'll be a funny story to look back on. If he's not then this'll be a sad example of his overall incompetence that we all should've seen coming. Let's all hope for the former.

There is something behind this story Rob told. Kobe made a shoe that was inspired by Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker!

Sorry found another link. Kobe was really into this movie. Here's more back story on the inspiration for the shoes.

There's already a Rob Pelinka thread and a thread about the article if the intention was really to discuss the topic of Pelinka lying.

Difficult not to think that OP is making this about Kobe based on his post history and blatant anti-Kobe rhetoric.

I remember Rob once telling the story about Shania Twain and tuna fish sandwiches.

Shania hates mayo!
