Interesting critter. It literally buries doze cockaroches after zombifying them. Wiki claims scientists agree that it sips from a snipped antenna either to replenish fluids or to regulate the amount of venom that it injected into the roach's head. It could be assessing whether the sting was successful or picking up on some chemical marker, imo, but whatevs. Apparently there are other wasps that behave similarly, but this one gets the press because of its color.
