Who is still following Billions this season? I am behind maybe 3-5 episodes. Has this season been finishing strong? Some of the last few season finished in awesome fashion. Is this one living up to it or should I not be in a rush to catch up?

I am watching....have not watched tonights episode. For me, this season has been similar to last season in that there have been some good moments, but I do not think the show is as good as it was in the first two seasons.

The Hot Zone

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4131818/

just watched the first couple episodes and it looks pretty interesting. It is a 6 part mini-series that aired on National Geographic the last 3 nights about the Ebola virus making US landfall in 1989. Solid cast of Julianna Margulies (ER), Noah Emmerich (The Americans), Liam Cunningham (GOT), Topher Grace (That 70's Show), James D'Arcy (Avengers) among others.

One description I saw was it is "the television version of Chernobyl, especially for those that lack the stomach for Chernobyl"

Yeah we watched it each night. I'm definitely a fan of that type of show or movie, basically a virus-apocalypse kind of scenario. Loved the movie Outbreak back in the day, too.

It was pretty good, especially the last two episodes where they had to clear the monkey facility. That was pretty tense.

Outbreak has been showing again recently and it just didn't hold up over time for me. Dustin Hoffman's acting in the movie was really bad. It's like he wasn't into it at all.

I thought the movie Contagion was really good as well, especially the parts where society started to break down.

one thing I found interesting about The Hot Zone was while the bureaucratic bs was not on the level as Chernobyl.....similar types were still prevalent and resulted in danger to the population. There were still agendas that allowed power and reputation to invade the search for a solution.

I have DIRECTV and all the episodes were available for download.

If you want to DVR all six episodes will be re-broadcast this weekend (Jun 1st) on National Geographic channel. Listings show ep. 1 starting at 3pm PST.

Have been rewatching Lilyhammer. Stars Steven Van Zandt and an incredible cast of Norwegian bit actors. It's really hilarious. And a commentary on the Norwegian social democracy. Written and produced by Norwegians.

Watched Bad Times at the El Royale. It was trippy. If you have HBO I recommend it.

I read a review yesterday that gave it a positive review....and I love dramatic biography type features....so I was excited. Then I learned this morning that it is directed by Ava DuVernay.....so not nearly as excited.

Watched the first episode. This looks like it's going to be good. Like the references to the Omen.
