Everyone seems to forget his Philly game. which was before his streak at the end of his season. that was like his breakout party
It coincided with trade rumors too! Imo,.. showed a lot of mental fortitude coming out and having such a big game when he just as easily could have folded.
Posted this in the FA thread, but it's more relevant here. Here is BI's production after the all-star break: 27.8 PPG, 57% FG, 52.9% 3PT, 75% FT (8 attempts per game), 7.5 RPG, 2.5 APG. Granted, the sample size is small (6 games). However, he has shown steady improvement in his game since December of last year. Those numbers above (over a full season) aren't just all-star numbers; they are superstar numbers. I am fully against trading BI for anyone (including AD).

No doubt if he did that for a bigger sample size last year, we'd be talking about giving him an early extension (which he is eligible for this summer). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Highlights:
I also remember at Philly harris was abusing Clarkson i mean Kuzma and BI shut him down rest of the game.
BI's individual defense really took a step forward this past season. Most important improvement, imo.
No doubt. This is where I'm most bullish about BI. He can be an all NBA level defender.
I've heard team defense is more important than individual defense. Although individual defense is important. Hope his team defense gets a bump this year.
Brandon Ingram was also 27th in the NBA in points scored off of drives at 6.7 PPG.
At 21 Ingram is already one of the best in the league at creating and converting shots. Couple this with a player that can lock up elite perimeter players.

Good stuff SCD. This is partly why I don't want us to trade for AD, because our young guys just seem to be so damn underrated on the open market. Our offer is easily the best one available but every site you go to talks about our young guys like they have no value. We are better off watching them blossom right here in L.A.
Ingram has made a nice leap every year he's been in the league and has shown more than the media darling Tatum. BI is only 6 months older than Tatum but they talk about their golden boy like he's putting up all-star numbers while sucking on a pacifier.

Brandon is my favorite player, but if you get AD in a deAl similar to Love a few years back where it gets agreed to in principle but not official for 30 days,...and then we can sign one of Kawhi, Kyrie or to a lesser extent Buckets?! You’ve got to deal the kids. Even if it’s just BI and the pick I would be opposed to sending Kuz and Zo out for better fits.

ok, but not last season....he was below 30% at one point in the season, but as he began to figure things out with the new roster and get going, he returned to being a 38% three point shooter.

Our version of DeMar
Yup
With better defense.
I am slightly optimistic that Vogel will be able to finally give BI a role that will maximize his talents and minimize his weaknesses.

I think Ingram will end up with a better career than Tatum.. I expect Kuz's to be right on par. Tatum is a real talent, just not as good as the talking heads make him out to be.
