OR could it be that the Lakers are the team that gave Garland the guarantee (to keep or trade for various reasons). just a thought |
Why give a promise without a workout? What's in it for them? _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

How do you know there was no Garland workout in private? |

Well, of course I don't. But these workouts are not typically a secret (see Culver's or every other draft we have participated in) and I'm not sure what the point of the secrecy would be. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

Draft - Culver is the only top draft we heard so far, I highly doubt they only looked one player at the moment.
Coach - Hollins and Vogel were signing that occurred without any rumor of it happening at first.
It's early but liking how the rumor stopped when magic stepped down. This gives me hope for a surprise name as FA signing or a surprise trade Ala Pau happening this summer. We will see. |
So it’s good that we have worked out one player for the 4th pick. And that there was little noise when we hired our 3rd choice for head coach (after lots of noise about the 2 that didn’t choose to come here). But hey, some think that McDonalds is gourmet food. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

McDonalds is a gourmet food Thats a good one.
Like im seeing ...to me they drenched in weakness, laziness, and pleasing the media. Usually about now you would hear of ATLEAST them working out 2-10...but do we? Nope....You would hear that the scout department was seen at other teams workouts...do we? Nope...You would hear that the Lakers have made some secret workouts (BYNUM) or bring in some ex player to work out with certain player(Russel vs Duke Center)...nope...Nothing......
This must be one of the WEAKEST Drafts or the Organization has turned super lazy weak (trading your core for AD or Getting that Klutch client with no workout or looking at other players because well its the LeKING SHOW) ....AND WE GOING TO FIND OUT WHICH IT IS VERY SOON. |

Wow, this just shows you what type of moron in Demps that the Lakers had to deal with.
Quote: | Paul said in the report that he informed Demps of Davis' desire to be traded on on Jan. 25, three days before the news broke in a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
As Paul tells the story, Demps said he'd speak with Pelicans owner Gayle Benson, but instead called Davis and never reconnected with Paul. Later, Paul said, Wojnarowski called him to confirm the trade demand, and the wild news cycle began to spin.
"It was necessary to go public. When I told you, 'Here's our intentions,' and you say, 'Hey, let me talk to ownership,' and instead ... you call Anthony Davis? That's called being ignored," Paul told SI.
He said Demps, who did not offer comment for the story, was seemingly attempting to get between Davis and Paul to handle the situation.
"That's a no-no. Every GM knows that," Paul said. |

Been happy to see this also, they shut all the reporters down, smooching at using Lakers to drive the click bait. Glad somebody is taking charge of how the front office should operate, my only hope is that they are good at what they do and not a dumb panic move. I like to get the news like in the old days when all things are final and absolute. |

Mitch had a "Magic Wand"
Magic had a "Tendency to talk allot" Using my words nicely
What is Rob's methodology to win a trade ?
"tell a story so long it bores them into giving in so they don't have to listen to him anymore"
"silent killer"
"assassin" |

Rob is gonna do it!!!!! Magic will have to go on ESPN and cry some more and explain how he was the one who made it happen even though he's not the Lakers President anymore |

Oops |
Why oops? The leaks are coming through the Leprechaun puppet Woj... which clearly means one of two things only.
1) Griffin is playing a silly game like his predecessor and leaking stuff to Woj.
2) Trader Dan has another source with the Pels who is leaking information to him, that he is then passing on to Woj.
Either way, there wouldn't have been leaks if they had a better offer from the Celtics in hand, or at least the promise of a better offer, right? If the Lakers pull out, Trader Dan is going to bend the Pelicans' small-market bums over the trade desk.
On the other hand for the Lakers, if the Pels continue playing games... we can move on to other targets, like getting that max FA in first... and the Pels' leverage will only decrease as more time passes. |
