I'm looking for anyone who doesn't want to trade Zo, Hart, Kuz, and BI.

Join the New Orleans Lakers thread we will make if they trade the whole core.

What if AD played double agent... let them trade the core to New Orleans...

then went back and signed with Pelicans.

It would be a dynasty for years.

Wonder if Griffin and AD are capable of that type of long con.

If Zion is as advertised then I'd take Zion + our young core over LeBron + 1 year of AD. If I had to choose.

I'd be there. Zion + Zo + BI. Sounds nice.

Lonzo/Garland

then sign AD in 2020.

I can't believe the FO is even considering this lol, just wait a year and sign him! That would be a championship team. A gutted roster with AD and LeBron and a bunch of C-tier free agents may not even be a playoff team in the West. And then after the year is wasted, you gotta watch Zo tear up the league for the next decade.... Unbelievable

Yeah if they get rid of them all... I'm just going to root for them until LBJ is gone.

It will be a fun team to watch.

That's a real possibility if the Lakers FO remains the (bleep) show that it is. I'm sure Rich Paul isn't happy about that, no way he keeps AD in LA if we look incompetent as (bleep) this year. And then he'll likely try to get LeBron off the team too.

If the team struggled... and LBJ started throwing everyone under the bus like he did in Cleveland and here.

I can see AD noping out and going back to New Orleans.

Would be an amazing turn of events.

Because I'd rather have Bron + AD. Who do you think free agents would rather play with? Bron +AD or Bron and a bunch of kids? You prob can't answer that honestly.

if we have insurance and assurance that we will sign an extension then
we cannot lose on that trade cause even if everything goes wrong we
will still have a top 10 or 5 player for the years to come.
But if its not the case, we ll be the laughing stock of the century.

I doubt it. Rich Paul is trying to hand AD to us on a silver platter. Pretty sure they have a wink wink deal in place. It's just all lip service.

“In the 4 team trade, the Lakers will send All-Star center Andrew Bynum, a protected FRP in 2017 and a conditional SRP in 2015 for Dwight Howard, Earl Clark and Chris Duhon.”

Lakers cooked up a very creative deal giving 1 All star young player, 1 first and 1 second for what ended up being a 1 year rental of a hurt Dwight and 2 other pieces..Magic got Affalo, Harrington, Vucevic, Harkless, Mc Bob, Eyenga, 3 FRP and 2 seconds from their reboot.

So, it’s a 7 year old comparison, but ZO,BI and #4 straight up for AD is not an overpay....

Does AD,LBJ,Kuz,Hart,Wagner, Bonga and about 26M cap get a contender? And then what if AD gets pissed and leaves?

We are trying to acquire a perennial all star 2 way MVP candidate, who is 25 YEARS OLD. It's delusional to think we are going to fleece a team giving up that type of player. I love BI/Zo as much as the next guy, but if that's what it takes then it's worth it. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I don't think we're talking enough about another huge minus that comes out of this trade and its having Rich Paul hang around this org for several more years to come.

Look at all the stuff being reported on him about him talking behind coaches backs, riding the company plane, getting unprecedented access to private spaces within the org, and how its created an uncomfortable and untrusting environment.

You think that crap is going to go away once Lebron retires??

That would be funny, in a devastating sort of way. That is why I prefer waiting on AD in free agency, we would only have to give up on one young player.

I would hope that NO would do a S&T of Randle for Gallinari

They have so many options... even if AD doesn't go back.

But yes, Gallinari would fit better than Julius with that group.

But if they could convince AD to come back... they could rule for the next decade.

Holy hot take. Steph and Klay are two of the best shooters ever and that was true before KD joined the team. Besides Garland, it would be a miracle for the above group to collectively shoot over 75% from the line or anything resembling league above average from three-point range. That team would be incredibly easy to defend by stopping transition opportunities and packing the paint. I like our young players too, but this is getting out of hand.

Jrue and Moore can shoot from outside... Ingram and Kuzma are both capable of league average shooting from distance and Zion had a 70%TS.

Nothing drafting Garland or signing some shooters couldn't fix.

It wasn't a direct comparison in terms of skill, more like having a young core that can potentially win multiple championships.
