Luka Jovic... fichado! 60m Euros.

I'm guessing Hazard + Ferland Mendy + Lo Celso will be on the way next.

Real Madrid's team is going to be stacked next season.

Strikers: Benzema/Jovic
Wide forwards: Hazard/Vinicius, Asensio/Brahim/Rodrygo
Central midfield: Kroos/Valverde, Casemiro/Llorente, Lo Celso/Modric
Defense: Mendy/Marcelo, Ramos/Nacho, Varane/Militao, Odriozola/Carvajal
Goal: Courtois/Luka/Lunin

5 in 7 incoming? I really want the team to win the league too, it's been too long.

I can’t say that lineup blows me away. Zidane has some work to do.

Hazard... fichado!
Mendy.... fichado!

Who's next?!

Don Florentino and Zizou have been ruthless in the transfer market so far, I'm loving it. Just two more players needed... a defensive midfielder who is better on the ball than Casemiro (Rodri from Atletico would be my choice if they can steal him (a big IF!), or Ndombele from Lyon)... and a replacement for Modric, whose legs are going (either Pogba, Lo Celso, Kovacic or Van de Beek). I normally wouldn't want Pogba at his fee/salary and with his "thinks he's a superstar yet hasn't earned superstar stripes yet" mentality... but it seems Zizou wants him, Pogba is keen on joining to the extent that he is willing to drop his salary, and I can't deny his potential if he humbles himself and plays with heart... so I'm undecided.

Madrid doesn't eff around when they need to make a splash in the market... I just wish the Lakers were as ruthless.

You don't see the potential of the squad they are building to win the CL again? The 14th is on it's way.

---------- Benz ------- Jovic
---------------- Hazard
------- Pogba ----------- Kroos
----------------- Rodri
Mendy --- Ramos --- Militao --- Odriozola
---------------- Courtois

+ speed demons Vinicius and Asensio waiting in the wings to kill tired legs... and Mariano, Brahim, Modric, Valverde, Casemiro or Llorente (whoever stays), Carvajal, Varane as depth?

It can't get much better than that for a knock-out tournament...

As a Chelsea fan, I was NOT bummed to watch Courtois go. He was a see-you-next-Tuesday even before he bungled his exit.

Hazard, on the other hand, really bums me out. I don't blame him, but man, it's a real downer. Especially since we can't replace him because of the transfer ban.

"Winter is coming" to Stamford Bridge.

As a neutral, I never understood why Courtois was rated so highly. On the other hand, Kepa has yet to impress me.
