^ The Americans. Good one. Good show but so lackluster toward the end.

I’ll add another one. Better Call Saul.

Mostly I find their distribution strategy to be really poor.

The show runners for the Americans were approved for their final two seasons at the same time.
So the second to last season, they gave the audience very little. And the final season, after a seasons worth of setup, was fantastic.

Kinda reminds me of Mr robot seasons 2 and 3

Pretty much every show mentioned retained their viewership right up to the very end, regardless of whether those viewers felt there was a drop in quality.

So the shows did their job.

Sopranos - the last season. The show had run its course. It felt like a money grab.

6A wasn't the best, but fans don't consider 6A and 6B separate only because of the year that split the two. The Vito/Johnny Cakes thing wasn't the best and it wasn't the gay thing. They played that angle way longer than it needed to go, especially with a secondary character at best. Vito wasn't even his own character in S1. He appeared as "Gino" in a cameo earlier in the show, in the scene where Chrissy shot the guy at the donut shop in the foot (he was made to wait for his sfogliatelle). If that show were around today, I doubt they'd even find that subject as taboo enough to even go there. Season 6A seemed like an idea they didn't get around to earlier, but now at a time when the show had a ton of loose ends/storiylines/characters to rectify. SixB was a better season, but a lot of fans also didn't like AJ's dperession angle, and that storyline went on and on and on and was solved by getting a new girlfriend.

Tony's problems with his mother were also wrapped up later than necessary because Nancy Marchand died. God knows how long that would've taken to resolve. Sopranos is a rare show that was both soft in Season 1 and towards the end. And I love The Sops!

Fans wanted to see Mork and The Fonz battle it out with alien powers vs coolness. Mork froze Fonz, but even his otherworldly powers weren't enough to overcome The Fonz snapping his fingers while exclaiming, "Aaaayyyyy." Fonz also did battle with Tom Hanks. Shark, Mork, Hanks (and Miyagi).

Quick question. Why did the guy 53 seconds in have his mid drift showing?

That halter top on dudes was a thing circa 79-82, which went especially well with the shorty shorts and knee-high socks of the day. I recently saw a documentary on Herschel Walker and they showed some practice field snippets from his Heisman season and he and other dudes were wearing those, even. It wasn't just the nancy lads. If you've ever seen Over The Edge from 79, you can see kids wearing those.
You completed the look with the handled comb in the back pocket. And you popped your LeTigre collars. Then you were rad.

Watch college football in the 80's, and it was VERY common for dudes to play with their midriffs showing. Seems completely crazy, but they did it.

Seinfeld lost steam towards the last two seasons. The characters had become caricatures of themselves.

Then the finale had this huge buildup in the media and it was a big letdown.

To me the best thing about the Seinfeld Show was that Jerry, the professional comedian, was the least funny person on the show. His standup clips in the early seasons were proof positive of his unfunny-ness.

I disagree. Season 9 was fantastic and I loved the finale with so many previous guest characters testifying what horrible people they were. To me, the first two seasons were weak and the show didn't really get going until they let the characters really cut loose.
