I think Bender could be a steal. Still only 21. Has shown the ability to be a shot blocker, a + passer, and still potential as a 3 point shooter.

Vonleh is another good target who has shown he can knock down 3's but he is coming off a good year and should get more than vets min again.

Jeff Green has been a vets min player the last couple years and would be a great get. 35% from 3 on 4 attempts this past season

Temple 34% on 3.5 attempts
Ennis 35.3% on 2.7 attempts
Thabo 44% on 1.6 attempts
W.Chanlder 37% on 3 attempts
J.Holiday 35% on 5.7 attemps
Burks 37% on 2.5 attempts
Shumpert 35% on 4.4 attempts
Matthews 37% on 6 attempts
Burke 35% on 2.7 attempts
D Rose 37% on 3 attempts
SethCurry 45% on 3.4 attempts
Muscula 35% on 4 attempts
Tolliver 38% on 3 attempts
M.Scott 40% on 3.2 attempts

So he’s not signing the 5 year max to be behind Embiid and Simmons?

Butler wants the max, he doesn’t care where. He might throw a temper tantrum in year 2 of his deal to get out of wherever he is, but he will sign wherever max is.

No, as we saw in the playoffs Embiid and Simmons supported Butler. He was the first option.

Embiid and Simmons are the top 2 in philly. Once Butler gets his 5 year max he will throw a tantrum about his touches and ask out.

I like Butler. But not as a third option behind AD and Lebron. We need someone who can space a little better than butler can.

I always pictured Jimmy wanting to go back to Texas or something. He's pretty "country". Though, he does like hanging with Hollywood types. Mostly country music stars though.

Most of the time he was.

Maybe LBJ restructures his deal, who knows? Either way Butler is greatly needed in the P&G as much as Kemba is!

If it's at all possible, I think free agents will definitely want to take less to come and play with this team:

Kemba+Butler+LeBron+Kuzma+Davis
Rondo+KCP+Stephensen+Wagner+McGee

We definitely need to resign all of our one year guys again... They will make a ton of cash for one year and win a ring!

lakurluv, we don’t have enough money to sign both Kemba and Butler. They both won’t take that big of a cut.

I’d really love if Jimmy joined now more than ever.

Especially losing Zo and BI that takes a lot out of our backcourt defense.
Resign Rondo as a backup who also had great chemistry with Jimmy while their time in Chicago.

Jimmy would be great alongside Lebron and AD.

If we add Jimmy we will be a great defensive team next year. He may not be good enough as the 1st/ 2nd option of a championship team, but he for sure is going to do well alongside LBJ and AD. I don't see the sixers coming out from the east if the Bucks keep their current roster and Kawhi staying in Toronto. His only real chance to win a chip is joining the Lakers.

As for us, I think Jimmy and Kemba are probably the stars that we have a realistic chance of landing this off season. Kawhi is going to listen to our pitch but I don't see him leaving Toronto (there's no need for him to chase a ring) and Kyrie appears to be going to Brooklyn. Between the two I like Jimmy more as he is a dog on the defensive end. I say we show him the respect by contacting him first thing free agency starts. We should have a pretty good chance to get him.

Jeff Green should be a big target for us at Vet Min because like you said his last 2 contract were just that. Vonleah is another cheap option for backup C that I really like.

Wes Matthews will be a vet min player too. He was cut by the Knicks and played like ass in Indiana.

Matthews was 40% from 3 on C&S (4 attempts).

Marcus Morris 39% on about 4 attempts.

Bogdanovic almost 45% on 3.6 attempts.

Jeff Green 38% on 3.6 attempts.

You have been posting here for a decade--you know that you cannot restructure a deal. Therefore there is no way you are signing Kemba AND Butler and resigning Rondo, KCP, McGee and Lance (and why would you want to bring them all back anyway?).

Bogdanovic will be out of play for the room MLE or vet min but if we are going to spread out the cap space because we don't have max he'd be my top target ($15 mil per). Spreading the rest amongst Pat Bev, Brook Lopez, and giving room MLE to Morris or Green.

That team could win it.

Don’t see how we can afford them all, though. Beverly is going to be looking for above MLE offers, which I think is around 8-10 million. Brook Lopez is also going to be wanting at least that much after the year he had for Milwaukee.

Both guys might take a slightly below market contract to play with Bron/AD in LA (stay in for Bev) and win a ring. Bev's kinda teasing/trolling about it on his twitter.

Yes my concern is that Butler is just not max guy. I like him and his game but for me he is 60mil/3 yr guy and nothing more than that.

Also one hypothetical question for laker fans.If you can choose:

30mil/2 yr deal for Redick or
30mil/2yr deal for Bojan Bogdanovic

Which would you choose to have. IMO it is Bojan because he is better defender and also can shoot like hell. He is croat also as me but that aside....
