I’m just happy they kept Kuz. He was the only one I was invested in. BI and Zo had no personality. Kuz also was the only one that played without fear. Love his demeanor. Gotta be fearless in this league.
If an outsider fan of another team came to LG and saw all this negativity surrounding the acquisition of AD.. he would probably say "damn these ungrateful ass spoiled fans need to be more positive like LKA"
You are the only poster who feels like you're trying too hard.
Everyone else seems sincere in their joy.
It rings phony... but I suppose time will tell what you are doing.
So rich hearing him talk about pessimism considering he's been a miserable poster to read up until today.
I truly don't know what his game is.
He joins, then spends 8 months tearing down the core... and now just keeps gloating and gloating... but in a really insincere way... like all he cares about was that he was right and I don't get any genuine feeling of love for the team.
That's why I want to see if he spends all next year rooting for us in a real way.
If he does, then I suppose I can tolerate his negativity about our former players.
If he disappears, then I know he was there just to promote his agenda.
Only time will tell.

Me an AD under the microscope 🧐 🔎
One thing I can honestly say Is that I've always shown love and respect to Meat. Even tho we always disagree. Even if he never realized it _________________ I just put my whole damn arm in the fridge

everyone loves Kuz. I was vested in Zo but his lack of offense and lack of development due to health reasons dampened it quite a bit.
AD + Bron + an already known 3rd star has my seat belt fastened

Which is odd because if what I said was completely offbase, you should have been completely offended.
So maybe I'm not off by far.
As I said... it will be interesting to see where you are next season.

You have every right to be happy. (bleep) I'm happy and I've never been high on AD. So you for sure should be happy.
But please spare us the lectures on pessimism. The hypocrisy is a little overwhelming. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

How would you feel about the trade with the following outcomes:
1. Lebron + AD + KL
2. Lebron + AD + Kyrie
3. Lebron + AD + Butler
4. Lebron + AD + Kemba
5. Lebron + AD + $32.5m cap-space (no 3rd star)
6. Lebron + AD + $28m cap-space (Trade done on July 6th)
7. Lebron + AD + $24m cap-space (AD doesn't wave trade bonus)
1. Lebron + AD + KL = A+
2. Lebron + AD + Kyrie = A
3. Lebron + AD + Butler = B
4. Lebron + AD + Kemba = C+
5. Lebron + AD + $32.5m cap-space (no 3rd star) = B+
6. Lebron + AD + $28m cap-space (Trade done on July 6th) = B
7. Lebron + AD + $24m cap-space (AD doesn't wave trade bonus) = D
you nailed it.... I'd argue Butler is a B+ but that's splitting hairs
I feel we gave up too much but what's done is done. Lets try to get at least one chip from this.
agreed. 2nd and 3rd 1st round were overpays. But the media will love all the speculation and drama that will go with how those picks evolve. I would have preferred to include Mo and Bonga
Finally freed from the Dell Demps dungeon, Anthony Davis will get to play with two players who actually fit with his game for the first time in his career. One is a rising star, the other a legend. All with another max slot available that may attract an free agent that otherwise wouldn't have considered the P&G.
AD is also a better passer than most realize, though to make that mean anything, Rob has only vet minimums and a room exception. That is unless a third star refuses to join, then it gets really tricky dividing that money.

Not really considering we are the one who got the superstar.
Ball hasn't played more than 52 games in a season and has a lot of work to do on his game.
BI is recovering from blood clots and not sure what will happen down the line.
Hart’s the only one I would have not shipped, but so be it.
2019 FRO was not gonna be kept either way, and the rest of the picks we shipped arent going to be high picks like Boston/ Brooklyn trade years back cause we didnt get old, beat up players like Pierce and KG.
Therefore, we got away pretty nicely with the trade considering the package they asked from Boston.
glad this who ordeal is over but as a pro AD fan I think we gave up waaay too much.
I thought it was only Ball+BI+#4 as the absolute max but we throw in Hart and 3 more 1st rounders??? Its clear the Lakers got impatient and desperate and put in more sweeteners when we already had the best offer on the table.
And at the very least why not have the Pelicans throw in their 2nd rounder so we can replenish our depth? _________________ (bleep) Kawhi

I think we wanted to keep the cap space free for another max. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Just came in to say, I always liked you, LKA!
And yes, I do think a third max is absolutely coming, and my gut tells me it's Kawhi. But even if it's Kyrie or even Butler, great times are ahead, and it helps that it's likely that the 2021 pick will actually end up staying with us since it's reverse protected. So we have a chance to add both a cheap role player for 4 years and a MLE player in both of those seasons.

As much as I don’t like the guy, if Kawhiet joined the Lakers, if you get some solid role players surrounding them then the team is poised to three peat regardless if KD resigns with GS long term or not. _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview

I can't help but wonder... If we had succeeded in signing Paul George and then did this trade *this year* at the deadline, would we have won the ring this year with Durant injured in the semis? (Assuming we were the #1 or #2 seed.) Or even without Paul George.
What was the point of waiting until the offseason to trade for Davis? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Yeah, my gut feeling is we could've gotten AD for a little less, but (bleep) it. We got him. Let's build around our two All-NBAers and get after that chip next season! _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."
