Zo Jrue BI Zion Randle. 33/32/33/???/34 percent from 3pts... They'd be fun to watch on the open court but deyyyyuummm, spacing would be atrocious once they're in the half court. |

Danny Ainge has been hoarding all these assets. If anybody can afford to go all in, it would be them. But the fear of AD being 1 year rental was real I guess. |

Heard so much talk from Danny boy about how he can get players to commit once they're there. When the time came to put his money where his mouth is, he scurried away with his tail between his legs. |

They bought into the hype that the Tom Arnold looking clown Woj was selling at the deadline. "Don't do the Lakers trade. The Celtics PROMISE to make it worth the wait" |

I think he would have done it if Kyrie insinuated that he will stay. But without Kyrie assurance, there’s no incentive for him to trade the farm. He probably regret not going all in last year when he has the chance. However nothing is guaranteed, Ainge is a very calculated man. He did want to take that slim chance. The fortune favors the bold though. |

Are y’all not hyped yet!!! |
How many “Anthony Davis has left the game with an injury” were there though?
Half kidding but dude leaves the game a LOT. Like maybe in one of every 4 games or so. |
I play DFS a lot, and i can't explain how frustrating it is putting him in your lineup. He would always leave the game, but eventually come back. |

You know, I just realized my disrespect by not welcoming this young man to P&G...

To be fair, he just had a bad experience with Irving. I can totally see why he doesn’t want to take the risk |

Cant believe AD is on the team.

Boston wouldn't be able to surround Davis with much talent if New Orleans was given a large trade package in conjunction with Irving leaving. |

Which was always the plan, but I do get the feeling NO will use the capspace on other players. Guessing $12-$15 million range for him, so Bird Rights can't be used. |

Why not?
Re-sign Rozier and Horford.
You still have Hayward, Brown.
Package of Tatum, Smart, #14 and the Memphis pick probably does it. |

They weren't anything special with Tatum, Smart and Irving this past season. It would be much the same roster with Davis instead of Tatum, Smart and Irving. They would have #20 and #22 to use in replacing Tatum, Smart and Irving. Ainge is/was good at getting draft picks, but not special at drafting.
The only future first round picks that they would have would be their own since the Memphis first went to New Orleans. They were 49-33 last season and the roster with Davis might need some luck to have the same record. |

Good take:
https://twitter.com/ftfonfs1/status/1140610554773610497?s=21
People say we overpaid. Maybe we did, maybe we didn’t. People need to be more consistent with their takes. Either we didn’t have anything the Pelicans wanted so we had to overpay or we didn’t. Either we had to pay more than the next best offer because teams explicitly don’t want to trade to LA. There’s this perception going on that other teams will hammer a team’s FO and not do business with them if they gift the Lakers a player. So if that is the case, from an optics standpoint, for the Lakers to make the trade and other front offices not be mad at the Pelicans, don’t they have to convince other teams, as well as their own ownership, hey we won that trade or at the VERY LEAST, the trade was fair?
Let’s take a deep breath and see how this roster pans out. All I know, is damn we are a boat load better than we were a couple years ago with a Moz/Deng lineup with Swaggy P and D’Lo playing keeping up with the Kardashians on Spectrum Sports. |

They would never have his Bird rights. They don't even have his early Bird rights. We all knew barring another injury, it was a 1 year stay for him. No way he wants to play next to Zion who is everything Jules would be plus more. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
