Yeah, in all honesty don't fully believe ANYTHING you hear right now that's simply opinions or "unnamed sources" because there's a good chance it's bs.
It's frustrating and got me on the edge of my seat wondering wtf is going to end up happening but at the same time extremely satisfying watching all these experts and supposed insiders be blatantly wrong over and over trying to pretend like they know when in reality Rob is just shutting them tf out and keeping it in house. This is a situation where in the recent past Jeanie or Magic would be trying to make media appearances to only end up making things ten times worse.
This is a great sign for me at least.. Hopefully the results are there in the end and Rob will deserve endless credit because nobody else in the NBA wants to see him pull this off. Still some ways to go before any extreme celebration but I like how they are operating at least. |

Larry Coon was going off of the wrong scenario. Pelinka is trying to use our cap to sign a max first and then send out salaries as an over the cap team for the AD trade. He needs to find a 3rd team to take on Wagner/Bonga/Jones. It's all possible and Eric Pincus confirmed it as well as a couple other capologists. |

The cap space was supposed to be for a second star and we got one. Now we have enough for a third one or two or three solid role players. |

The Lakers as of right now have cap space to add a 3rd max. If they use it by July 6th, the trade for Anthony Davis will basically be in escrow until July 30th. If the Lakers don't use their cap space by July 6th, the trade will be completed on the 6th. There is no negotiation of the closing date. Just certain conditions that either will be met or not. |
this scenario is the most obvious, laker s haven t been saving cap space for all these years to trade away the farm + use up the space to take in a star. firmly believe the laker s wouldn't of given up so much unless they have the right to use up the cap space for a 3rd star or use of the 32m ish space on multiple tier 2/3 FAs,
AD trade is acceptable because laker s also have that 32m ish cap space, if not the whole f n FO needs to gtfo of here.
trade is the farm + picks/swaps and cap space for NO only after the LAkers use up the space 1st, if not it s farm+picks+ 6m ish of cap space to NO for AD, which cannot possibly be true. Even an average laker s fan understands the importance of using up our cap space1st then and only then the trade is done. cannot tell me that pelinka, jeanie, rambii, and the whole laker s FO signed off on the trade for it to be finalized in 7/6.
if the laker s have to ship out assets for AD on the 7/6, jeanie needs to be forcibly removed as well as the whole FO. if it goes down on 7/6 then the trade is a 3rd star+BI,Lonzo, Hart, 4th pick, and mortgage of the future for AD and at best 2 of tier B/C FAs. Gtfo here |

Great trade to get AD but it appears that there were problems with the execution.
