Quote:
After trading into the second round of last night’s draft to select Iowa State’s Talen Horton-Tucker, the Lakers made some more signings to fill out their Summer League squad and use their two-way contract spots for next season’s roster.

Don't know if Bonga or Mo are still gonna be on the team by SPL but would like to see their progress after a year in the G-League.

THT is an interesting prospect and a good one, for sure. At one point many writers had him listed as a potential 1st rounder. The kid is from Chi-Town and appears to be hungry.

I’m going out to Vegas again this year. Maybe I can pick a day when both the Pelicans and Lakers are playing, would like to see new Lakers guys as well as Zion in person.

The more I watch his film, the more his game actually compares to one of Draymond’s teammates to me, and that’s Andre Iguodala (obviously in a shorter, more “compact” frame) in terms of his versatility and apparent basketball feel.

THT = Mini Draymond?? ......... Zach Norvell and the rest of the squad should also be fun to watch.

If Zion is there it will be only to sign autographs.

FYI: Ja Morant has already scratched due to his surgery.

He’s been compared to Ginobili/Eric Gordon/PJ Tucker

I'm just glad to see some new, young players join the organization even if he never plays a game in the NBA.

If I ran the Pelicans, I wouldn't want Zion playing summer league. Too risky with nothing to gain.

Can THT even play in the first few games if we haven't used our cap space yet (meaning it doesn't make sense to sign him at that point)?

Hart put in his work in SPL and Ingram is far enough along in his skills development and likely needs time to recover from his blood cot surgery.

If he's physically able, Zo should play especially if Zion is playing. He needs game reps to work on his shot.

What do you mean low key? The last two seasons, especially the first with Kuz and Zo have been off the charts fun. We made it to the championship game 2 yrs in a row, and got MVP both years, Josh last summer. We need to ramp it up in Vegas and get excited, not low key please. I'm looking forward to attending in person.

Ya just wanna see Zion mostly and what ever team the Lakers roll out. I’ve been going every year since Julius was drafted, pretty fun scene if you wanna see players up closer than you’d see in a regular season game.

Don't get me wrong. The past two years have been lit and that's great. But i also remember a time when you could sit wherever and talk with coaches, trainers, and front office peeps. Either way it's always a good time.
