It seems like all is forgiven now. Everyone is sympathetic towards him after the injury. I find it interesting that the public and media can change their perception of a person so quickly. All it takes is for them to have some bad luck and they're an underdog again; and who doesn't like an underdog? |

Didn't hate him, just didn't Respect him and thought he acted like an a-hole a lot.
The injury didn't change anything. |

Never hated him personally, just thought joining the Warriors was an incredibly weak move and horrible for the league and have zero respect for the championships he got as a result. But yeah, wish him well and all that, though I strongly doubt he'll ever be an MVP-level player again. |

1. The word "hate" should be discontinued. It's thrown around too loosely.
2. Some people were upset that Durant joined the Warriors because that team beat his in the playoffs, and they think he took the easy route. That criticism remains and probably always will to come extent.
3. Durant won rings and finals MVP. Winning erases criticism.
4. Durant had a devastating injury. He had a hard route back. Not surprising people are sympathetic.
5. I disagree that this was some immediate because of the injury. |

I mean still don't think much of his rings and Finals MVPs when comparing it against other greats. The other thing that I disliked about his move was upsetting parity but with a torn Achilles that's moot. |

Warriors run is over, so who cares? I'd like to see him make a full recovery. I wouldn't want to be one of those people that revel in a player being injured and their career being over/altered. It's so depressing to see what happened to guys like Derrick Rose, for example. Why would anyone cheer for that? Stupid. _________________ Lakers. Built different. |

Just because he got injured it didn't really affect my opinion on him at all tbh.. He's a guy I will continue to enjoy watching and hope he comes back healthy because he's simply a great player but i'll never really go out of my way to root for or against him unless he's going up against the Lakers. |

I think he's a prick, but that doesn't change the fact that it sucks to see someone with that much talent suffer such a serious injury. And yes, it sucks more when it's a player with that much talent, because we, as fans, should feel worse when we're robbed of seeing legendary greatness. |

Never hated the man but joining the Warriors will always be the weakest move ever made by a superstar in the NBA, and it’s not close. He often comes across as an insecure baby who cries to the refs, has burner accounts and im general, has a very punchable face. |

This Jalen Rose premise needs to die. Suggesting that it's impossible to have sympathy for someone whose basketball decisions you could never respect is a false dichotomy. No one wants to see an injury happen to an NBA player (let alone a devastating one to a future HOFer). |

Never hated him. Saw him transform from a quiet shy personality to a outspoken confident "you know who I am." Kinda like his wanting his own team. IMO he'll never achieve Kobe status. Kobe stayed home. I'm not one who'll give praise a player who moves to achieve. I like Mike, Kobe, Tim Duncan and the likes. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

One of those guys didn't play under a version of free agency that would've allowed him to leave and another tried to leave and the owner wouldn't trade him. I'm not one to praise a player for not leaving when they couldn't get out.
Duncan and Dirk...all the props to them on that front. I can't hate on Durant just like I didn't hate on Wilt, Moses or LeBron before him. |

Never hated him. In fact, I thought his move to GS was very logical.
He had been with OKC since their final year as the Supersonics and in that time, what exactly did they manage to do for him?
I think he saw the writing on the wall and bailed at the perfect time.
OKC shouldn't hate KD for leaving them. They should hate their team's ownership for not giving him a reason to stay. |
