It's never too late to do this. Now that most of the moves have been made and we are headed towards the dog days of summer, let the speculation begin! Here is my early seedings

1) Denver Nuggets
2) Utah Jazz
3) Los Angeles Clippers
4) Los Angeles Lakers
5) Houston Rockets
6) Golden State Warriors
7) Portland Trailblazers
8) San Antonio Spurs

Reason why I have Denver as number 1 and Utah as number 2 is because of the power of continuity (less so for Utah but they are bringing back their main core) and most likely the rosters to get hit the least hardest by "Load Management"

Load Management is also the reason why I don't have the Lakers and Clippers as 1 and 2. I think the top four or five teams will be separated by about two or three games, and load management will keep Kawhi, PG, AD, and LBJ out quite a bit.

But when it comes down to it, I expect both the Lakers and the Clippers to make it past everyone until they face each other. And when they do, I expect the Lakers to pull it out in 6 since all 6 games will be home court advantage.

My dark horse to come out the West is Golden State, who I think will still be very very good. They will be dominant on the perimeter with Klay/Steph/DLO but lack on the inside where we will have the clear advantage. With that said, this season will be straight fire.

This may not be a popular opinion, but part of me is happy that Kawhi chose the clips. Competition is always good, and hoisting 17 will feel much more satisfying

Yep. There's only 1 LA team in the league no?

Btw, I'm not high on Mike Conley because I do not trust his ability to stay healthy.

his is a tough call and part of me wants to wait for Westbrook, but I also want to get a prediction in now. Here's my thoughts:

1.) Lakers
2.) Utah
3.) Clippers
4.) Nuggets
5.) Rockets
6.) Warriors
7.) Blazers
8.) Kings

I like the Nuggets, but they way over-performed last year and the conference just got that much tougher. Utah adding Conley and Bojan is amazing. They are gonna be TOUGH. The Clippers are a damn good team, but it looks like PG won't be ready for the start of the season and KL's "load management" will keep him to 60-70 games max next year. Hard to put them much higher. The Rockets are due for an injury and otherwise the team seems to be a fighting mess right now. I think Harden slows down a bit and the rest of the team is getting older. The Warriors as a six seed is insane, but I see them treading water for a good chunk of the year and then hitting a groove when Klay comes back in 2020. Blazers are good, but not good enough. I was tempted to go Spurs here for the 8th seed, but I really like Fox and Bagley and the rest of the roster suddenly looks deep and talented. Do they have the composure? Maybe not.

Is there a 60 win team in the West? I think not.

The Rockets didn’t even miss the playoffs last year despite Capela/CP3/Gordon all missing time and not getting a bench till post buyouts (Rivers and Faired). Why would they fall out next year?

Give me a break. The Clippers are not going to be the no.1 seed, with #2 load management and PG shoulder injury.

Lakers will have the no.1 seed.

I think he left it off, because @SPO200 used Houston twice.

Wow this is hard. There’s so many good teams on relatively equal footing. There will be serious competition from the lower seeds.

1. Nuggets - they will stay consistent; good regular season team
2. Clippers - Kawhi will keep them a high seed
3. Jazz - they will definitely be better than last season
4. Lakers - growing pains, but will finish strong
5. Warriors - I still see them as a threat
6. Blazers - it was hard for me to place them this low
7. Rockets - they might crumble, or not... they’re still pretty dang good.
8. Spurs - this dead horse will never die

I still think Lakers will win the chip, but it won’t be smooth sailing.
