i could watch these all day. pound for pound, the greatest player i have ever seen hands down. MJ was great also, i don't think he had the volume like kobe like this. like mad says, there could be 400 plays. there is one guy i am curious about, wilt...there isnt enough video for me to get a good feel for what he really was like. but as the ones that are available become released, i am more impressed (not less). but of the ones ive seen, kobe, magic, mj, bird, lbj, curry, etc....kobe stands apart by a significant margin.

he was not just a once in a generation player, he was a once in a lifetime player and we got to see him every night. i was there for the first game, and was there for his last game and everything in between. what a blessing.

What brings tears to my eyes is watching about half of those highlights with absolute garbage lineups on the court with Kobe.

So graceful yet so violent sometimes too. There ain't any player that moves like him on the court.

I really miss watching the man play basketball. Not the same now.

Number 8 was an incredible athlete. Number 24 destroyed in other ways, but watching 8 with the fro slay the opposition...brings back some wonderful memories. We were all younger, I guess.

Some of those dunks were so nasty...you just KNOW some of those guys wanted to catch Kobe outside afterwards.

Speaking of Kobe, the gym he opened is out of this world. Saw McGee’s work out videos is his IG, they got beach sands inside. Kobe’s dedication in everything he does is unmatched.

Yup. I grew up during the Kareem/Magic years, and I didn't think it could ever get better than that. Then the Kobe/Shaq years came, and I felt the same watching Kobe annihilate our opponents.

Love that some of the top-10 were assists. Kobe was always vilified for being selfish, but he definitely knew how to play to his teammates' strengths. Too bad not all of them actually had those... *cough* Kwamesmush...

criticized for being selfish and not getting along with shaq. yet one of the most famous plays in nba history is a kobe pass to shaq.

As I have posted here before, I was at the one in New York City on a fantastic road trip (it is #15 in this list) and saw him with the sick reverse on Captain Sprewell in The Garden.

The crowd (in New York) was literally buzzing in awe for like 10 minutes after that play. As was I.

Great video, thanks for posting.

from what i've heard and studied, only mj and kobe are on record as saying this:

when they play the game, they always want to give someone in the audience something they've never seen before. they were driven by this. this is a very different way of playing than, say, trying not to make any mistakes, or trying to have good stats. very different.

Unnecessary subliminal shot at LeBron.

The nba hasn’t been the same since he dropped 60 on the Jazz and said farewell. Easily the greatest.
