Kobe was hated too. But he brought us chips. Time to see if LBJ can get it done.
I don't believe he can win a chip without a big 3 (he needs an all star perimeter teammate like Kyrie and Wade). But I'm ready for Bron to make me a believer.

3player super teams are dead. We winning ring this year

*Looks at GS*

I guess you could say top heavy big 3 teams are susceptible to injury. But the obvious retort to that is. We're dead in the water if one of our big 2 get hurt as well. Injury is not a big 3 specific problem.

Asking Bron to win with less starpower than he had in his prime seems like a recipe for disappointment.

You’re not counting dray as a big 3 are you

Draymond has made 2 all nba teams. He's made 3 all defensive teams. He's a 3 time all star. He took a back seat to Durant (wisely) so didn't make the all star game. But when they won 73 games, he lead GS in assists instead of their PG.

Kevin love made 5 all star teams. 2 all nba teams. Won MIP. Won a 3pt contest. And also lead the league in rebounds on a garbage MIN team. You can keep downplaying both of them. But they were significantly better than the 3rd player on our team currently (whoever that is) when they won chips.

Even now, a big reason why GS is penciled in for the playoffs is because Draymond is still on the team.

if lebron don't make playoffs next season, he definitely is going to ask for a trade and AD will leave and we will have to start from the beginning again.

Barring catastrophic injury to Lebron and AD, I think the chances are pretty slim of the Lakers not making the playoffs. Losing out on Kawhi stinks, but the Lakers still have a pretty good team.

Relying on a 35 year old LeBron to play this role is a terrible idea.

Actually a brilliant idea. Very well might prolong his career.

The entire roster construction is designed so Lebron won't be going downhill against a packed defense like had to quite often last season. He also has two bigs good enough to do something with the ball if he needs to take a possession off and they both can shoot well enough not to compromise the spacing when they're on the floor with him.

The 2nd unit lacks a forward; Iggy would be ideal. Or they may just play four guards with Mcgee.

If LBJ is classified as a guard, they have only three forwards now-- AD, Kuz, Dudley. THT is a forward to me too but I doubt he plays.

It would not be pretty when LBJ defends the other team's guards. It might even get him hurt if he wants to match up the speed. There was a reason MJ or Kobe played more at the low post when they aged.

I think it would be better if they play two shooters/ perimeter defenders with him even if LBJ is the main ball handler.

Pretty much, we'll need prime LeBron to be great with PG and Kawhi defending him. FWIW if there's any player I'd trust in the NBA to do well despite being guarded by those two, it's LeBron.

You know he’s gonna play extra for how Kawhi mislead him after months of recruiting. Kawhi wants the “torch”, LBJ isnt going to let it be taken easily.

Bron's gonna need to work on his post game, honestly. His clear advantage over them that still remains is his size and strength. He won't be able to blow past either one at his age.

Kawhi already shut down one of Lebron’s dynasties

He wasnt option 1. He did it behind Duncan & Parker.
& He led Raps to a title, but with healthy Klay & KD, he wouldn't have a chance.

Initiate Project: Kobe-Shaq

1. AD carries the Lakers the first 3 quarters while Lebron cruises
2. Lebron kills it in the 4th

Speaking of.

With LBJ/AD/Boogie, I think we will get teams into foul trouble rather quickly. Hopefully we have one of them on the court during all 48 minutes of the game.
