Once again, it looked like the Lakers had a game wrapped up only to end up fighting until the final buzzer. Their 8-0 run late in the 3rd quarter began a surge that ended with a 9-0 early in the 4th. That stretch combined into a 18-2 run to give the Lakers a 10-point lead with 6:58 to play.

All they had to do was play smart and use the clock, right? Not that easy, I guess. From that point until the 2:35 mark they committed 8 turnovers and the Spurs went on a 12-2 run and got a 1 point lead.

Miraculously, the Lakers were TO free to the end of the game and put together a 8-2 run to seal the win.

Kobe Bryant only played 3:30 of the 1st quarter due to fouls, but scored 17 in the 2nd and finished with 34 points on 12-19 shooting, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, a steal, 7 turnovers, 8 hv, 1.16 prod, 34 eff, and +10.

Andrew Bynum scored just 6 points, but grabbed 8 rebounds, had 3 assists, 4 blocks, 14 hv, .73 prod, and 13 eff. More than that, he showed very well going up against Tim Duncan and was again a presence on defense.

Vladimir Radmanovic came off the bench to score 13 on 5-7 shooting, 3-3 from 3-point range, 1.07 prod, and 14 eff.

Two of these turnovers have been a blown calls by the refs as they (in their typical fashion) were trying to make a game out of it (and we have helped with our own stupidity).

Anyhow, I was pleasantly surprized by us pulling it out.

good job, as always, Pop...
