Glad I didn't go to summer league this year. I usually go to see all the draft picks but the trend lately is for the draft picks to play one or two games and then get pulled to prevent injury, then you end up just watching South Bay Lakers games....I can do that without having to travel 3 hours.

9 of the top 15 picks aren’t playing this year. Will be interesting to see if this year is a blip due to all the injuries/trades, or if it is the start of a trend.

Hopefully it's just injuries.
But man, Lonnie Walker might be nice for the Spurs.

Murray + White + Lonnie + Forbes + Beli + Patty + Demar

A couple of those guys can play a small SF, but someone has got to go right?

Not sure about “go” as in trade one of them. But my guess would be Forbes/Belli will have to take a back seat.

on top of this, last years rookie class was so good, many of the players did not return to Summer League for a 2nd year (which at one time was almost a given unless you were a Lebron). The result is there is less high level talent on the court in SL this year than in recent years. It appears that combined with the Lakers not having a top level draft talent on their roster has killed game attendance.

Omg. Another foul challenge.
Annoying delay.
I hope they don't implement this.

I like that the Knicks have Knox and Robinson out there playing....until recently, unless you were pretty much a star player, you played 2 years in Summer League. Now, if you just were not bad your rookie season, many guys do not play in their 2nd year.

Well when we had good summer league teams we sucked in the regular season. So this is a good sign.
