Talen Horton-Tucker is not going to play in the Sacramento Summer League games because he is rehabbing a stress reaction that was discovered at the combine in May. Lakers were aware of it when they drafted him.
Wow already injured, he was the only reason I was considering heading out to Las Vegas (well that and seeing Zion). But if he’s out for that too I might just skip the traffic and watch on TV.

I don't think he's officially been ruled out of LVSL, but... I would find it hard to believe that an extra week of rest for something they diagnosed over a month ago is going to make a difference, and they're not going to take any chances with an 18 year old. I'd be shocked if he plays in LV.
I hope he does, as I was a big fan of his in school and I think he's an absolute steal where we drafted him, and he was my favorite player at/around late lotto.
The team’s top rookie, second-round draft selection Talen Horton-Tucker, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard out of Iowa State, missed the California Classic because of stress reaction in his right foot.
He will be re-evaluated Friday before a decision is made about his availability in Las Vegas.
Here's an article from Philadelphia 76ers 2019 NBA Draft profile on Talen Horton-Tucker.
Seems they were very high on him.
Maybe the info about his foot injury leaked and teams backed off.
IMO, in the long run, this kid could indeed be a steal.

Lakers second-round pick Talen Horton-Tucker will not play in Las Vegas Summer League due to the same injury that caused him to miss the California Classic.
Does anyone really think that Klutch would allow the FO to sign THT to only a TWO-WAY contract?
They fleeced the FO for $30M for 2 years of KCP for crying out loud.
I think the kid is set on a H/C. They'll probably send him to the g-league for
most or all of the season but he will most likely count as a h/c. PT and time to
develop NBA skills are more important than sitting on an NBA bench IMO.
But he will cost an NBA h/c ala Bonga.
We now have one NBA and a 2 way h/c available I think. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team !
