Besides sounding like the name of a character from an Adam Sandler movie, looks like he’s got good experience _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview
Handy, 47, was an assistant with the Cleveland Cavaliers for portions of their run to four straight Eastern Conference titles from 2015-18 before he joined Nick Nurse's staff on the NBA champion Toronto Raptors this past season.
The assistant coach worked with Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James during their mutual time in Cleveland.

Really really excellent hire.
He has great knowledge, preparation, strategy and in game/series adjustments skills..etc and helps utilize and makes players become more better/efficient.
Another great addition. _________________ "Bryant to Shaq"
Good question. He was a big believer in Lonzo Ball and wanted to mentor/develop him. A few months back, Windhorst thought that Kyrie might consider a reunion with Lebron if Kidd was coach.
Now that those two possibilities are out, maybe he's still there to help the coach put on some sharp accessories🔪🔪🔪 if things go awry.
Grat great addition to the coaching staff. Kidd, Hollins, Hand. Thats great crew to help Vogel. Definitely these moves from FO were amazing. I hope they will click as a coaching team.
He has exactly 717 days left in order to recruit Greek Freak.

Jason Kidd is here to lure in Giannis when he's a un restricted free agent in the summer of 2021
Kidd has Lebron's respect and ear. This is a big difference from last season. Not Luke or Brian or anyone had Lebron's ear and respect. The type of guys Rob has hired this year have all been to off set what went down last year. You don't hire Kidd for Xs and Os. This is Vogel's job, as well as some other assistants. You hired Kidd to help with Lebron, and to help develop Kuzma, the way he helped Giannis. He seems like a coach that increases confidence in young players, even if he is lacking in the Xs and Os. I understand having issues with Kidd being a HC in the league. As an assistant, the guy was one of the highest IQs in the league as a player. He has respect due to his HOF career. I think it was a good hire. The only coach I don't know what his purpose is Lionel Hollins. If it's leadership, isn't that Frank's job? If it's defense, well we just hired Handy. I don't know exactly what Lionel's specialty will be, as he served best as a head coach in a leadership role.
There’s of lot of guys who aren’t the best head coaches and that are good assistant coaches. Kidd could be one of them. Giannis sang praises of Kidd helping his development. LFR/Pete recently mentioned this on the last Lockedonlakers podcast. _________________ Formerly OC Lakerfan
